Freddie Woodman continued in the net for Swansea despite conceding four goals at Hull City last Friday. This time he let just one by in a 3-1 win at home against Huddersfield. The win was their first in six matches in the league. It moves Swansea to 9th in the table just 5 points adrift from a playoff place.

Jacob Murphy was handed a start for Sheffield Wednesday at Birmingham this afternoon. The 24-year-old had been resigned to late cameos during the last three matches. Murphy banged in a goal for either side in the 3-3 draw. Unfortunately for Murphy, he started off the scoring for Birmingham when a corner went off him into the back of the net. He redeemed himself with a strike to put the Owls up 3-2 in the 65th minute. However, Birmingham found a leveler in stoppage time to claim a share of the spoils.

Rotherham’s Dan Barlaser made his 13th straight start in the league at a former club in Accrington Stanley this afternoon. The Millers got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory. Dan got his fifth assist of the season on a 65th-minute corner that was headed in by Freddie Ladapo. Stanley answered a minute later on a goal by Jordan Clark. However, Rotherham found a winner in stoppage time to stay top of the Championship on goal difference over Coventry, who have a game in hand.

Rolando Aarons started for the fifth consecutive match in all competitions for Motherwell this afternoon. They drew 0-0 at Hamilton after going down a man in the 37th minute after Christopher Long received his second booking. Aarons was replaced by Jermaine Hylton in the 76th minute. The point sees Motherwell reclaim the important third spot in the Scottish Premiership.
A second change of the afternoon for Motherwell as Hylton replaces Aarons.

Kelland Watts got another start for Mansfield as they lost 1-0 at Cheltenham. Watts has started every game since joining the Stags on loan. This was the first time he has not played the full ninety minutes as he was replaced in the 86th minute. Despite the defeat, Mansfield are still five points above the bottom two.

Achraf Lazaar made a rare start for Cosenza in their 2-0 loss at home to Frosinone yesterday. It was just Lazaar’s third start and the first one in which he played the entire 90 minutes. In total, the 28-year-old has only seven appearances for 244 minutes for the Serie B club.

Comment #89Bruce has to be sacked now.
He is clueless and always has been.
I dont think it will happen mind as the numpties running our club think we are safe from the drop.
Well i dont see us getting many more points this season.Actually i do not care if we drop down and play the unwashed next season.
Yes the unwashed who we were all laughing at not long ago may be in our league come August.
I am so pissed off with this regime killing our club.
The annoying thing is certain people on here try to justify whats going on

Comment #91The three stooges, sorry the three Steve’s need to get their heads together and come up with a plan.
Any plan will do, sending the players out without one is killing their confidence.
The formation and style doesn’t help our limited fowards at all, it also does our limited defense no favours.
I’d switch to three in midfield

Comment #94Looks like Bruce was running on luck alone. Hate it when I’m right. I would be firmly in the ‘Bruce Out’ camp, but I would be terrified of the potential successors.

Comment #95I’m not sure what to think of the three January signings, bot good thoughts so far.
So far out of the 2019/2020 signings only ASM has really improved the side.
The rest need to ship up or be shipped out.

Unfortunately that will never happen.
They only pulled the trigger on McLaren because Rafa offered his services.
They did zip when Carver was trying his best to sink us.
They probably think Bruce has steadied the ship.

Re, The Supreme Court
It appears that you can watch in one form or another.

The video’s of the High Court hearings are all available but they’re a bit tedious to watch.

I know it’s unlikely it’s just what I would do.
Somehow we will scrape by this season but beyond we’re knackered.
The 3 new lads haven’t improved is but it’s early days, daft thing is there isn’t time to bed them in.

Comment #101Hope he at least keeps going with this slightly more open style. Manquillo in for Lazaro, Shelvey in for Lobby, Lejeune in for either one of Fede or Lascelles, and same front 3, which has its shortcomings obviously, but it’s the best we have.
Prioritize defensive shape of course, make sure they are up for it, win the loose ball, all the essential stuff, that keeps you in games, but look to get on the ball across that 4 man midfield as best we can, so we can at least try to get forward in numbers.
Two losses away from home shouldn’t mean battening down the hatches in the next 3 or 4. It’s just plain hopeless to watch.

Don’t get me wrong we could do much better than Brucie, but look at our team, it’s a wonder we’re not in the bottom three. Joelinton shouldn’t be anywhere near the Premier league, along with at least half of our squad.
We were rubbish under Rafa (a world class manager) the difference was Perez and Rondon.
The problem is our scouting, its a case of a cheaper alternative or wasting money on the wrong players.

Comment #103Any other club owner who understood and enjoyed watching football would see by now that SB isn’t up to the job. Fan unrest and drop in attendances, very poor style of play and terrible possession percentage and goal difference, media criticism and disbelief of our league position with our current stats etc etc. would help to confirm that things are not good.
Will Ashley care about any of the above and change the manager?
Nah !!
