Report – Premier League Club Identify Magpie As Potential Replacement For £70m-Rated Winger

Once again on Saturday, Allan Saint-Maximin tried desperately to create a moment of magic to get the stagnant Newcastle attack going. The Frenchman was one of only a few Magpies to show any urgency going forward in the second half.

While not much worked in the end for the 22-year-old, the impetus to get forward and try to get something to happen was at least endearing to some.

It’ll come as little surprise that there are now reports circulating of outside interest in Newcastle’s electric winger. The Daily Mail are claiming that Wolves have Allan Saint-Maximin listed as a potential replacement for Adama Traore.

There is expected to be a bidding war for the 24-year-old, who Wolves value at around £70m, with both Real Madrid and Barcelona reported to be interested.

If one of La Liga’s giants poach the Spanish winger this summer, Newcastle could have to fend off interest from Wolves in our star player.

Saint-Maximin, by all accounts, seems to love it at Newcastle. However, he has to be frustrated with the style of play currently on display at Newcastle.

Allan did sign a six-year deal when he joined this past summer for £16m from Nice. So Wolves would have to stump up quite a fee to prise him away just a year later.

We just don’t even want to think about losing Saint-Maximin after only one year. Hopefully, this team can find some answers in the final third and end this season on some sort of high. If they do, it’ll likely come through the exploits of our French winger.

Who Was Newcastle's Best Player At Crystal Palace?

  • Martin Dubravka (79%, 1,121 )
  • A. Saint-Maximin (9%, 133 )
  • Valentino Lazaro (3%, 45 )
  • Joelinton (2%, 30 )
  • Dwight Gayle (1%, 19 )
  • Fabian Schar (1%, 15 )
  • Miguel Almiron (1%, 13 )
  • Sean Longstaff (1%, 10 )
  • Federico Fernandez (1%, 9 )
  • Matt Ritchie (1%, 9 )
  • Nabil Bentaleb (0%, 6 )
  • Danny Rose (0%, 5 )
  • Jamaal Lascelles (0%, 4 )

    They mugged him off
    Let him go

And replaced him with the 2nd worst manager in prem history, maybe he will make 1st place this year

    Why ?
    As they knew better
Jabba wanted his dodgy deals, to gamble on players again
That’s exactly what happened it’s not an opinion

Rafa was up there with SBR and KK as one of the best manager in the clubs history
Personally I’d put SBR as number 1
But he wanted better for the club , gave us hope

    Jabba mugged him off
The PR labels him as greedy

Even the foreign managers we looked at dont fill you with confidence. Viera who has been poor at Nice. Gerard who is doing as you would expect at Rangers. I think they are stuck in the ninties so it has to be someone theyve heard of from then.

The result of the idiots mugging him off
We have the worst manager they could have gotten

Proper bottom of the barrel , we’re statistically the worst team in Europe

Because Jabba wanted to go back to gambling on player for his own personal gain

If you managed a factory where your contract was up for renewal and you were asked to continue over achieving without any significant investment. Relying on the the same infrastructure and personnal for another three years, with clearly any means of improvment being removed from the agenda. Plus if you were being forced to hire employees you knew did not have the skills or personality to blend with the current workforce……You would ask for a larger salary.

He wasn’t even out of the door and they had gone back to the good old days
Gambling on players , looking for a bargain Jabba can make a profit on

Lindsfarne the world doesn’t work like that unfortunately (I should know I am in a very similar situation to the one you have just described funnily enough and I had a 1% salary increase). Rafa was paid as one of the top managers in Europe and he should not be wanting the same as Klopp or Pep unless he had us fighting for titles.

In every stat now we are the worst.Gials for, shots against, possession, passing, shots on target. The defence which has been good the last few seasons looks ragged, bar the goalie.Palace could have/should have had another 4 goals.Bentekes miss,Ayews miss,2 top draw saves. Now we are losing our discipline 6 bookings,1 sending off.Every Newcastle fan knew this would happen, when we got Bruce. He could well go down as our worst Premier league manager ever

You’re completely missing the point, while Ashley and Churnley run the show we are not going to get a Pochetino, so it’s a completely moot point.

The money spunked on Joelinton could’ve paid for Rondon his wages and a 3 year contract for Rafa.

Instead we sign a non striker who isn’t a goal scorer and a manager desperate for one last shot at being the EPLs worst manager of all time.

Cracking foundations and planning for the future.

Had to practically rob the guy they got
They paid 4 million for him

You think they will get the next SAF as his replacement?

I see we are predicting Ashley will ‘cash in the profit’ on ASM.

I’ve said a few times on here before that this ‘cashing in’ at the drop of a hat is a total myth.

The only time we’ve done that is the £35M for AC, a ridiculous fee at the time that had to be accepted. Since proven right.

All the other big sales wanted away, sold after we got relegated or had clauses met by buyers.

Dubs, Schar, Lejeune to name three could all have been sold for big profits but are still here.

And so will ASM and Al be unless clubs offer stupid money way, way, more than they are worth.

Because there is no recent history at all of ‘cashing in as soon as the club smells a profit’.

    None.
