What Will Be The Result At West Brom In The FA Cup?

Tomorrow Newcastle travel to the Hawthorns to face West Brom in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup. It’s the first time Newcastle have reached this stage of the competition in the Ashley era. In 2006, the Magpies reach the sixth round before being knocked out by Chelsea.

Similarly to that season, the draws have been very favorable in the third and fourth rounds this year. Though it took replays for Newcastle to get past both Rochdale and Oxford.

They now face the Championship leaders who have a six-point cushion over third-placed Fulham. The Baggies’ main concern this season will be promotion, and they stumbled a bit this past weekend by losing to Wigan at home.

That loss ended a six-game unbeaten run in which West Brom collected 16 points. So the loss on Saturday may have a bearing on West Brom boss Slaven Bilic’s plans for Tuesday.

Steve Bruce will have plenty of options tomorrow with only Andy Carroll, Emil Krafth, and Ciaran Clark likely to be unavailable. Hopefully, Allan Saint-Maximin will be able to start after playing only around 15 minutes against Burnley due to his hamstring injury.

Newcastle have a great opportunity to get to the quarterfinals tomorrow. However, they’ll have to find a way to put the ball into the back of the net which they haven’t done in four straight games.

    It’s the new era!

    10-0 win!

And we will only try for the first 20 minutes. It’s not good to embarrass lower league teams.

Would we be able to sign Sturrige if he’s a free agent. He would be better than Joe.

Easy win for WBA and our prolific goalscorer Joelinton with another blank.
It was sad on Saturday to see the fans get excited because Joelinton made 1 good pass.
Relegation is looking very likely now unless we can get Andy Carroll fit to play at least 5 games.

That piece from Craig Hope is fairly bang on the money. They have known beyond doubt that a striker was needed. As for Ashley not sanctioning an extra wage well that could be our undoing. Rather than writing Carroll off as a bad investment and bringing in Samata for example at the extra cost of maybe 1.5M in wages it could end up costing us ten of millions in to the hundreds if we’re relegated. They need to buy a striker in May anyway, surely Gayle and Carroll will be moved on in the summer and Muto loaned out if possible. Bringing in a striker now would hive him time to settle and make the season more enjoyable. But the fat footer has to put us through the wringer again.

My team for tomorow: Darlov – yedlin – lejune – schar – rose —- Muto – Longstaff – Bentaleb – Atsu—- Gayle and Maximus on top. The team will be fresh and we have subs to change the game against tire legs. For Southampton game im am really nervous if we dont beat them. They must be the easiest team to beat away so se have to at least get a point there. Then we have 2 home games, and hope for god sake we can get at least 5 points to take us to 37 points before the last month. I dont think 40 is enough this year. Norwich villa and brighton and southampton is one of the teams to go down. With shelwey maximus carrol ritchie back we will get 2 or 3 more victories. I thought joe had his best game when he played left against Burnley. Almiron, wow what a game he had behins gayle. For southampton – dubravka manq – fernandes- jamie- ritchie – Maximus – hayden- shelwey – big joe—-almiron and gayle up front. I think this is the winning team, we bossed Burnley and should have won that game. Now we just have to piss our pants for the 3-4 weeks. I cant understand premier leauge this year, who will go down haha.

In the words of Martin Luther King
    “I have a dream”
    that:-
    We avoid relegation
    We win the FA cup
    and
True to his word after winning something , Ashley sells up

What a Summer that would make !

The pair of them are getting on but Eric B seemed very very angry about Price’s greed. He not only deprived Burdon of any royalties but the rest of the band too.

Yes, greed has no morals as witnessed by our wonderful owner.

i was pretty fair comparing bruces record to pardew, jfk, mclaren, and allardyce. theyve also only had poor quality clubs. and hes approx 20% worse than mclaren who is the second worst. its not like i compared his twenty year, five or six club, atrotious record to fergies or mourinhos or even hughes or moyes. its a like for like battle of the lower ability dinosaurs.

lesh …House of the Rising Sun is an American folk song, thought to be written by Georgia Turner and Bert Martin. This song tells of hard times in New Orleans. The most well known version was recorded by Eric Burdon and The Animals in 1964. …

so if these people wrote the song how come Alan Price got the Royalties ? …

The reason we didn’t get a striker was Jabba spent the money on Mullberry shares

    About 30 million worth

That 30 million the club used to have is gone forever

Well I think Lazaro will be straight back in the team I hope as a winger. It’s hoping no one else gets injured, we cannot afford to lose any players. It would be nice to go a little further in the cup.

Will be watching it today mate.

It sounds very good but of course it will never be as good as 29/2/2020. The day the new era began with a thumping 0-0 draw at home to the mighty Burnley.

Incidentally, anyone who doubts Mr Bruce, he has already made history in his short time in charge. 3 consecutive goalless draws at home for the first time in NUFC history, he’s a genius.

On inventing stuff on this blog…

Here’s lesh continuing to spot one of the blog’s biggest myths…

“bills son one of Ashley’s front-line ambassadors”.

    For the record YET AGAIN…

Ashley has no ambition for the club – I want him out – ASAP.

Lesh, and others, have the set mind that if you doubt any of the ridiculous NUFC conspiracy theories or don’t rubbish any positive talk or don’t forecast definite doom, gloom and relegation…

You are one of “Ashley’s front-line ambassadors”.

Lesh is at the forefront of the front line boneheads.
