Poll – What Will Be The Result Of Saturday’s Match Against Sheffield United?

Newcastle are coming off the back of two massive wins, which has stretched a fledgling unbeaten run to three games. On Saturday, we’ll host one of the season’s surprise teams in Sheffield United. The newly-promoted side sit 7th in the table on 43 points with a game in hand on Newcastle.

They are unbeaten in their previous six matches, including two FA Cup wins. The Blades will play Arsenal at home in the quarter-finals next week.

The Magpies traveled to Bramall Lane in December and eeked out a 2-0 win on goals by Allan Saint-Maximin and Jonjo Shelvey. But it was Martin Dubravka who was the hero on that night.

This time around, we’ll be without our Slovakian shot-stopper for the first time since his debut over two years ago. It’ll be Karl Darlow, who gets the call at St James Park on Saturday.

Dubravka will join Andy Carroll and Ciaran Clark on the sidelines for this one. Though Bruce still has plenty of options and it’ll be interesting to see who gets the nod this weekend.

I’m glad someone else made that comment first. I wanted to, but it seemed unkind.

Running on masses of caffeine. Need to keep awake until I get first round of dogs walked. That wind should wake me a little.

Spent the night drifting in and out waiting for updates from hospital.

Dad got taken in last night, he’s suffering from a pulmonary embolism after his recent back surgery. Scary but treatable.

I think Andy’s probably hoping to be fit for his disability pension assessment medical. Not TOO fit of course, just fit enough to get to the appointment.

Sorry to hear about your pa. Despite criticisms, the NHS’ll help him through and you’ll soon have him back keeping you on the right tracks, musically.

Enjoy your walks and next time you’re on the south coast, let me know and you can have a crack at helping our Cavalier behave himself!

    🙂

Someone should probably mention his name is Andy, not Carol.
