Longstaff Brothers Changing Agents – Make Sure They’re Newcastle Supporters

There’s some interesting news put out by Sky Sports today that the Longstaff brothers are changing their agents.

They are said to be in the process of changing their agents to be able to sort out their futures.

Whether that’s a hint, that they want to sign new long term contracts at Newcastle we don’t know – but we hope that’s the case.

Matty is out of contract this summer, and some big clubs are after him since he’s available for only around £400K this summer.

Sean has a contract through 2022, so this is the less urgent case to be handled by the club.

Sean and Matty Longstaff
Please stay at Newcastle!

Here is an excerpt from the Sky Sports report:

And now both Matty and Sean have taken steps to switch representatives in a bid to resolve their futures – whether that is at Newcastle or elsewhere.

Newcastle brothers Sean and Matty are from North Shields and can become world-class players if they work hard and get the right coaching early in their careers.

Steve Bruce and the fans really want the brothers to stay – there’s nothing quite like having two Geordie brothers as part of a successful Newcastle team.

Manchester United were interested in 22-year-old Sean in the summer, and now there are some big clubs after his younger brother Matty – who has just turned 20 this week.

Maybe they can hire some Geordie agents or agents who are Newcastle supporters – that should do the trick and have them signed on long term contracts at their famous home town club.

Howay The Lads!!

Which On Loan Left Back Should Newcastle Pursue This Summer?

  • Jetro Willems (52%, 600 )
  • Both (28%, 318 )
  • Neither (12%, 137 )
  • Danny Rose (8%, 95 )

We are also deeply concerned to learn that some supporters who normally pay monthly have seen the full payment taken today. Any fans in that situation should contact the club immediately.

    Any comment JIB ?

Whilst hoping that both Longstaff brothers decide to stay at NUFC who could blame them for moving onto clubs with some ambition.

He never told me but I think it was the anti-bodies after the virus .

I’m just guessing this was the answer to how would they know if he had been infected with Covid- 19 as I heard a Doc saying just that on Radio 4 this morning.

Anti bodies are the clue .

I find it hard to agree with anyone who says we have a good defence.

The team is set up to protect the back four or five, it has for most of the season and our keeper has made the most saves of any in the Prem.

I can’t work out why people claim we have a good defence or great defenders

The roof is the safest place, the jewish community aren’t really isolating and a few have something and are wandering around beside the synagogue.

Been told if any come in to walk out, only twenty percent of them are isolating.

The lads are being sensible, no one works or eats in same areas, no passing on stairs and corridors.

Only around six to ten in so it’s quite easy to avoid each other.

The Government has seen fit to bail out Banks and the Oil industry on numerous occasions.

Why is it holding back on helping the self employed and close sites?

It’s a disgrace, health and safety has been shown to be bull snot by Borris and the government.

The lads who work for the main contractor have been told they’ll only get statutory sick pay if they self isolate.

Most can’t afford that so are still at work.

    OP,
You don’t think we have good defenders? I can’t remember when we were so spoiled for choice.

Our MF and front line needs work, sure. But there are at least two individuals who are top drawer and could easily play in the top six: Almiron, Allan.

Anyway, like someone said earlier, hope the football starts, behind closed doors. Safely, all participants tested. The financial aspect will be covered and, maybe equally importantly, it will be a welcome distraction. Opium of the masses. We need a bit of that 🙂

Should we expect the club to regularly rob the fans now ?
Maybe sell their bank details ?
Maybe he could charge them all for a bunch of sports stuff he thinks they might want

    Mr J replying:

“The advice, the instructions, to the gentleman in question…and indeed every business, is to follow what the government has said.

“To obey the rules or to expect the consequences.

“And that is the best way to look after not just their employees but their businesses as well.”
