Longstaff Brothers Changing Agents – Make Sure They’re Newcastle Supporters

There’s some interesting news put out by Sky Sports today that the Longstaff brothers are changing their agents.

They are said to be in the process of changing their agents to be able to sort out their futures.

Whether that’s a hint, that they want to sign new long term contracts at Newcastle we don’t know – but we hope that’s the case.

Matty is out of contract this summer, and some big clubs are after him since he’s available for only around £400K this summer.

Sean has a contract through 2022, so this is the less urgent case to be handled by the club.

Sean and Matty Longstaff
Please stay at Newcastle!

Here is an excerpt from the Sky Sports report:

And now both Matty and Sean have taken steps to switch representatives in a bid to resolve their futures – whether that is at Newcastle or elsewhere.

Newcastle brothers Sean and Matty are from North Shields and can become world-class players if they work hard and get the right coaching early in their careers.

Steve Bruce and the fans really want the brothers to stay – there’s nothing quite like having two Geordie brothers as part of a successful Newcastle team.

Manchester United were interested in 22-year-old Sean in the summer, and now there are some big clubs after his younger brother Matty – who has just turned 20 this week.

Maybe they can hire some Geordie agents or agents who are Newcastle supporters – that should do the trick and have them signed on long term contracts at their famous home town club.

Howay The Lads!!

Which On Loan Left Back Should Newcastle Pursue This Summer?

  • Jetro Willems (52%, 600 )
  • Both (28%, 318 )
  • Neither (12%, 137 )
  • Danny Rose (8%, 95 )

You make a fair point @73
but I don’t think he’s as involved in the day to day running of the club as some folk think

Have I spelt his name correct or incorrect before?

Or are you just trying to be a smart arse?

Sorry for asking the obvious, I know you’re busy.

    Jib,
I doubt very much he’s involved in the day to day running of the club, but he will be involved in any major decisions. The decision to give away £1.5M season tickets was certainly not Steve Bruce’s and would have definitely either have been decided by and/or approved by him.

You would normally think JIB was a WUM

But they don’t have access to PR material before it’s released to the media

When do you think he will sell the club ?

    Tom
The payment today is for next season, but as you said, who knows if that can be delivered or not.

As for him not being involved in the day to day running of the club, I would think he isnt, but I bet he has to be updated every week with all goings on and what is being done with prices etc, he may not be doing the running, but will have to give the go-ahead

    It’s the old Napoleonic thing
The difference between Strategy and Tactics
Ashley’s strategy is the club must wipe it’s nose
Charnley decides the tactics to achieve this
    ST pricing etc. etc.

sorry toon22 if this makes your head hurt

I know Charnley buys the biscuits but I reckon theres more chance of Jib actually working for Ashley than there is of Charnley deciding ST prices.

It safe to say Charnley gets peanuts to reflect his importance to the overall running of Nufc, he’s only there as a figurehead.

    Give it a minute.

Jib will be on to tell us how Charnley is qualified as a chairman because he’s been at the club since 1892, was the clubhouse chimney sweep and worked his way up.

JIB has been on this blog since Jabbas PR decided they needed to keep a lid on the fans discontent
Instead of working with them it was decided to simply exploit them instead
    We’re all thick up here

Exactly what part do you pretend to support JIB ?

Barnes Bishop and Ashley’s other cronies are involved in every aspect of the club. So much so one even sits in on managers interviews to make sure everyone is singing from Ashley’s hymn sheet.

Everyone knows Ashley likes loyalty and only trusts a select few, why would you think Charnley was one of these people?

Personally I think everything is decided out of house and Charnley is told to implement them as written.

For me a chairman should be well versed on all things going on at the club.

Charnley has never came across like that in any interview, unless he has a prepared answer he is unable or unwilling to answer.

A lot of the time the questions aren’t even taxing, something he should be able to answer.

Charnley isnt a real chairman or he’s a shit one that needs to do more homework.
