Longstaff Brothers Changing Agents – Make Sure They’re Newcastle Supporters

There’s some interesting news put out by Sky Sports today that the Longstaff brothers are changing their agents.

They are said to be in the process of changing their agents to be able to sort out their futures.

Whether that’s a hint, that they want to sign new long term contracts at Newcastle we don’t know – but we hope that’s the case.

Matty is out of contract this summer, and some big clubs are after him since he’s available for only around £400K this summer.

Sean has a contract through 2022, so this is the less urgent case to be handled by the club.

Sean and Matty Longstaff
Please stay at Newcastle!

Here is an excerpt from the Sky Sports report:

And now both Matty and Sean have taken steps to switch representatives in a bid to resolve their futures – whether that is at Newcastle or elsewhere.

Newcastle brothers Sean and Matty are from North Shields and can become world-class players if they work hard and get the right coaching early in their careers.

Steve Bruce and the fans really want the brothers to stay – there’s nothing quite like having two Geordie brothers as part of a successful Newcastle team.

Manchester United were interested in 22-year-old Sean in the summer, and now there are some big clubs after his younger brother Matty – who has just turned 20 this week.

Maybe they can hire some Geordie agents or agents who are Newcastle supporters – that should do the trick and have them signed on long term contracts at their famous home town club.

Howay The Lads!!

I like how vultures like Piers Morgan are circling.

Maybe he can explain why he loves to make profit from the misery of the public, for once I’m not talking about Nufc fans.

He said himself he’s a PR nightmare
Hopefully he’s dug himself a real hole this time

(The difference between Strategy and Tactics
Ashley’s strategy is the club must wipe it’s nose. Charnley decides the tactics to achieve this ST pricing etc. etc.)?

The club wiping it’s own nose is an aim as defined by Ashley

The strategy would be the plan of action to achieve that aim and probably defined by Barnes and approved by Ashley

The tactics are usually those to be employed to achieve the strategic operational objectives – probably delegated to Barnes by Ashley. In the context of STs, to ensure liquidity, or cash flow for example.

Achieving those operational objectives would probably be down to Charnley, or more likely overseen by Barnes.

So, Ashley’ll probably have his finger on the pulse at all but the last stage with Charnley doing what he’s told or has been agreed with Barnes.

Can you really imagine Ashley letting Charnley loose on signing off on anything more day-to-day operational expenses?

Piers Morgan’s more than happy to have a go at Ashley as it gives him a semblance of moral respectability and takes attention away from his love-in with Tramp

I doubt Charnley even does that
He’s a patsy , used as a face , made to pretend to be in charge of god knows how many companies
Someone Jabba uses to front up the BS he shoves out

Been at work, only just seeing who’s on his case. Quite a few for SD and a few more for STs. Poor mike

Police have been given the power to split up groups. Maybe they could start with Coldplay.

    (from Facebook, I’m told)

He’s really fouled up this time.

Surely one would’ve expected whoever’s made the SD/ Fraser opening and staffing decisions to have had a good shagging for them and why the Fraser PR people weren’t involved – or if they have been, the fact they’ve failed miserably by mis-judging the impact and not offering any strategy to mitigate the impact.

As far as NUFC’s concerned, same questions.

Of course it could be that Ashley has directly signed off on the whole mess in which case his investors won’t be too happy at the reality that he’s the nasty face of capitalism.

We can but wait and see how things pan out but one must wonder where it puts the Club in the eyes if any potential takeover interest.

“Cannot believe what I’m reading on the Bishop Twitter account”

Probably literally true as well as figuratively.
