PIF Create NUFC Company, EPL Discusses Player Wages, And Celtic To Keep Edouard – Today’s News Roundup

Today we learned that a company was registered under Saudi Wealth Fund chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the Premier League are discussing what to do about player wages during the suspension, and that Celtic will try to hold on to Newcastle target Odsonne Edouard.

Yasir Al-Rumayyan– hopefully not Richard Keys in disguise 🙂

Here is the roundup of today’s articles and news from The Newcastle United Blog.

  • Saudi Arabia’s PIF sees Newcastle as a long term investment possibility.
  • The Premier League is trying to reach a consensus among clubs about deferring player wages.
  • Celtic will try to keep striker Odsonne Edouard in the wake of Newcastle identifying him as a top summer target.

  • Former England international Paul Robinson believes Newcastle will move to keep Danny Rose permanently this summer.
  • Due to an agreement needed from the EFL, the Premier League can’t agree to cancel this season during their meeting this week.

Why the need to rain on the parade of those who want in these awful times to again believe that there might be a sale.

Who are they hurting but themselves?

Were those getting excited again trying to change anyone’s mind or simply looking for some hope in the desperate situation we find ourselves in

Belief of course isn’t governed by facts but faith.

There isn’t proof either way but yes there have been other times like these which led to tears before bedtime and then again it will happen sometime!

I’m currently an agnostic having been burnt before and find it difficult to engage much in the discussion but others are enjoying it and no foul

I am amazed at the need of some to denigrate others for what i can only see as either a lecture from someone wanting to ridicule others misplaced faith or to start an argument for their own amusement

Shame Blog had been a welcome place of late but the stirring has returned and no doubt each side will blame the other.

For God’s sake grow up everyone and by all means make your argument but without playing the man

There is a catalyst in this and i know who my monies are on.

There are potential factors either way to bear in mind

Ashley needs the readies more than he ever has like all retailers but he apparently has a saleable asset worth less than he wanted but this is not a sellers market and won’t be for some time.

That asset can only depreciate further so if you need to sell best do quickly
Could say most opportune now for seller and will reduce as time passes without clarity on when will PL resume (and what about next season) so this could be why buyer would be wise to wait.

I doubt these 2 extremes are the only factors in play here but I don’t care enough to pursue either line any further as no one is likely to be persuaded from their own position and time will tell

So arguments either way and I’m certain if i wanted to dwell more on matter i could see less obvious ones but no need to for me – it will happen when it happens.

In the meantime why can’t those who think “not again” just let those who want to raise their hopes again do so and vice versa

    Roll on the night shift
    ?

Stay sane stay safe Be kind

a carrot that sounds wrong and a little cruel ( i jest is it for his teeth)

i was once in a pub playing pool in the local league and the pub served up what can only be described as mancky burgers
there was this old english sheep dog dribbling looking at them so i thought ok and gave him a couple of burgers
my mate gave him a couple more
all of a sudden we were confronted with some grubby looking hippy women shouting at us telling us her dog came from a vegetarian family
she didnt like it when i told her the dog wasnt a vegi and gave him another burger
he looked so sad being dragged away and was probaly fed carrots

your dog chewing on a carrot reminded me of that poor dog

This pandemic, like all natural disasters, brings out the best in some people and the worst in others. As evidenced by the behaviour of the posters on this blog. A week ago almost everyone was being fairly pleasant. Now it’s right back to the bitching. Let’s all try to be a bit more tolerant.

    Here’s a thing.

It’s fine to believe if you want to, in the takeover, that lockdown will soon be over, that the Easter bunny is real, it’s fine to believe what you like.

Equally it’s fine to not believe, in anything at all. Totally fine.

You can disagree with folk too, but try to do it without being needlessly aggressive.

I do believe if it was any new poster that said what I did he wouldn’t be getting peters for being forthright and honest about the effects of gullibility and the ongoing damage that all this airy-fairy totally unsubstantiated and unproven takeover reiteration does to the image of the nufc fan base.

You might think it’s a crime to disturb the pipe dreams of the downtrodden who want to wallow in wishful thinking but for me it’s the tap on the cheek to awaken the patient from anaesthesia. If you’re being gullible it’s actually constructive to shine the stark light of honesty on the thing instead of dusting the turd with caster sugar and calling it a cake. 🙂

I find it also hilarious that the ones who are whining about me being all horrid and nasty are the ones who readily resort to insulting with any amount of profanity and name calling anyone who has an opposite view. From being foul mouthed bullies bragging about their escapades on the terraces they easily transform into tutu-wearing princesses ha ha
