Report Of NUFC Not Triggering Purchase Option For Loanee Seems Premature

Of the four players on loan at Newcastle currently, there are two of them that we really hope Newcastle can sign permanently or even find a way to extend their loans for next season.

Those two players are Jetro Willems and Valentino Lazaro. Both of them have purchase options, but with Jetro being out until at least September and Lazaro having only made five appearances, too much is unknown at the moment for definitive decisions on those clauses.

Some broader discussions will have to take place about the remainder of this season as well. With it not expected to resume anytime soon, there will have to be a decision made on what to do with players currently on loan or whose contracts end on June 30th.

As it stands, the Premier League is currently scheduled to start up again on April 30th. However, it is expected that date will be pushed out in the summer months after the league’s next meeting this Friday.

It is almost a certainty that if this season can be completed, it will extend beyond the June 30th date when most loans and expiring contracts will end. This is one of the scenarios that will be discussed during the Premier League meeting.

There is a report in Inside Futbol that cites a report from Italy that Newcastle has not yet taken the necessary steps to trigger Valentino Lazaro’s purchase option. They claim that it is now a ‘distant prospect’ that the Austrian will become a permanent member of Newcastle’s squad after his loan expires.

However, we are not concerned with this report at the moment. With so much in limbo about this season as well as next season, Newcastle will not have made any concrete decisions on their loanees just yet.

The report does say that Inter Milan are hoping to sell Lazaro to use the funds in the next transfer window. So it is likely that if Newcastle do decide to keep Lazaro, there shouldn’t be too much of an issue as long as they can reach an agreement with Valentino himself.

    Ding, ding bus move.
    From previous.

Sorry but why we would listen to someone from the gambling times?
This story is dead already, why it was even posted I have no idea, who the flying fcuk is Graeme Bailey?
Let’s not post stupid shite like this, my next door neighbor could have come up with this story line and he doesn’t even know what Newcastle is.

Jail – regarding bobbybee and the children’s adrenaline thing – how did I miss that???? Perhaps it’s for the good of the blog I did. 😐

I think he’s got confused with the plot of Monsters Inc though TBF. Unless I hear Idris say “we scare because we care” I’m not going to believe it. 🙂

Keeping Lazarro is a no brainer, I’ll be surprised if we do though.

Taking a look at FRAS share price it looks like all of the money he robbed from us is gone
He used our club to build his tat shop empire and in 10 short years seems to have lost it all

    https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/f/frasers-group-plc-ord-gbp0.10

No matter how much money he bleeds from football, via our club , and hoys it at his tat it seems not to matter

Hes spent 10 million net on players in 10 years
That a little bit more than what he got from the shift sponsor

Were to believe all of that tv money was spent on operating costs ?

Every penny he robbed from us he has lost, it makes me happy inside to think it

    Just read a valid point
You think Jabba might have loaned money against next season tv money ?
If so, and said money dont show up due to the virus, we might be in some real trouble
He obviously wouldnt have much cash left if he was borrowing against our future income

You think he might have dug himself a bigger hole than we had imagined ?
