Report- Newcastle Enquire About Midfielder Whose Price Tag Recently Dropped

A few weeks ago it was reported that Marseille were trying to offload both Morgan Sanson and ex-Magpie Florian Thauvin this summer for reduced fees to get them off the books.

The French club are reportedly in some financial difficulty after not qualifying for European competition this season after finishing 5th in the last campaign.

Newcastle were linked with the 25-year-old Sanson this past summer. There were even reports at the time that we were offered the midfielder. However, his fee back then was over £30m.

The report from last month claimed that Marseille had dropped their asking price for Sanson to around £23m.

The Chronicle have a report citing French outlet L’Equipe that Newcastle are one of four Premier League clubs now interested in Sanson.

The others being Aston Villa, Everton, and West Ham, who are reported to have had a bid of £33m rejected for the player this past January.

The most recent report from L’Equipe claims that Newcastle have recently enquired about Sanson. With his valuation having significantly been lowered, he could be an astute summer signing.

The former French U21 international joined Marseille in January of 2017 for around £8m from Montpellier. His contract still has another two years to run. This season he’s made 30 appearances with 5 goals and 5 assists.

Mike Ashley has abdicated duty of Newcastle United to communicate with media and fans

    https://www.themag.co.uk/2020/04/mike-ashley-has-abdicated-duty-of-newcastle-united-to-communicate-with-media-and-fans/

Well…because Mike Ashley sees himself as having no duty to communicate anything to media or fans during this time as national and international crisis. Nor will he allow pathetic minions such as Lee Charnley to communicate either, even though he is supposed to be Managing Director of Newcastle United.

geordietom – your daughter should go to A & E as normal – they have a separate entrance for suspected CV cases and a different one for everything else.

I’ve noticed a few comments on here re. the culpability of China in this crisis since my initial ones a few days ago but a serious lack of mention in the National media.

Any paper worth it’s salt should be all over this like a (should I) virus.

I forgot about the monthly cap of £2,500 per month for Furloughed workers.
It would be very humbling for PL football players and not completely amiss as there is no professional matches taking place.

If it’s a proper break then it’s highly likely.

If it’s just a fracture she will probably be ok, I would go to A&E to get it looked at though. If it’s swollen up or darkened quickly then chances are it’s serious.

Thanks for your thoughts a few threads back. Much appreciated.

It beats me how you can even be bothered to think about painting, let alone do it. And now your daughter’s hurt herself? Ffs, lesser men’s put their hands up and walk into the sunset.

Whatever’s been bothering me’s nowt compared to you but whatever it is, it’s got me knackered. As you know, smoking doesn’t help matters.

I see that Saudi PFI are in for Carnival cruises – they might even lay on special offers for fans like you and Mrs GT. Maybe you could persuade PFI that your family’d 110% solid NUFC fans too.

Done that before with paint but it was on carpet in the military quarters I was moving out of, was absolutely bloody livid. Got a fine for it. Then the new quarters we moved into had a dirty great hole in the wall off the previous guy who’d put his fist through it and I had to pay to get that fixed.

After we’d been to the hospital we drove into the Aldi car park and straight out again queue stretched around the whole car park. Just wanted some fruit and veg and we found a nice little greengrocers with a ten minute wait.

    Asparagus for tea tonight!

Tom, to be fair if your daughter’s gonna break her ankle, she may as well do it when she’s not able to go anywhere anyway.

That said, of course I hope she hasn’t broken it and she’s ok. Going near a hospital is enough to make anyone nervous at the moment.
