We are running a poll to gauge which manager of four, the fans would like to come in and manage Newcastle United once Amanda Staveley’s consortium can finally buy the club from owner Mike Ashley.
The four candidates are Steve Bruce, Rafa Benitez, Max Allegri, the former Juventus manager, and Mauricio Pochettino, the former Tottenham manager.
Of the four managers, who are listed in no particular order, all are available, but Rafa Benitez, who is in China.
But done; think about availability when you vote – just who do you think would be the best manager under the Saudi Arabia funded deal.
Steve Bruce
Rafa Benitez
Max Allegri
Mauricio Pochettino

Comment #2We need a young progressive and modern manager. Not benitez. His hay days are over. Like mourinho.

Comment #7That’s more like it Edd. Let’s get the positive vibes going again. Part of me would welcome Rafa back and i know he played a style of footy with what he had at his disposal. But do we need to move on and start afresh if the Fakeover does happen

I think the only reason Rafa is even in the conversation is because of Staveley, if they didnt have a relationship then he wouldnt be mentioned. Fair play to everything he has achieved in the past and all he did for us but need to more forward.

I’ve often wondered if he’s actually earmarked for WHU and not us?

Comment #14I certainly want Rafa back, although I accept itâs unlikely. He was great and Ashley stiffed him. Surely thatâs reason enough. I donât care if maybe, just maybe, a handful of others might, maybe, would do a better job. I really love what Rafa did for us under the most austere of owners and Iâd really love us to give him his âel proyectoâ to sink his heart and soul into, and with it the chance to oversee the club being run right under new owners.

Comment #17For the record I only agreed with Nufcfor Sale regarding the getting carried away with stadium expansions etc. That shell company stuff is not my cup of tea at all.

Norman Hunter was as hard as they come if not harder than that!
Newcastle United has always been tops for me but for a while I lived in Keighley in my younger days and often went to Elland Road when Newcastle weren’t playing in the area (Yorshire Lancs etc) I was fortunate enough to see the great John Charles play – He was magnificent – never booked once – ever! Les Ferdinand comes close in some ways but WOW John Charles was the tops!

Comment #24I donât know if we could even get Rafa, heâs under contract.
So if push comes to shove then Poch would be my ideal as he has the Prem exp.
Ashley to purchase Sunderland FC
