Comment #1Repost:
Can’t understand why some on here wants Pochettino as the next manager. Err didn’t Rafa team hammer his team spurs when we were already relegated and didn’t Bruce beat his team in their own backyard when Poch was the manager.

Comment #2Dont fancy Poch either, in fact he is way down my line of choices,, not below Bruce in the pecking order mind.

Comment #3This is exactly what Rafa wanted some experienced quality on the pitch to guide the younger players through the game and also to have that confidence that you gain as you get older in terms of finishing off chances
Out of the free transfers I think Mertens and Fraser would be shrewd business we need a proper right winger which Fraser could be last season wasn’t his best (but he has admitted that contract issues got in the way!) and Mertens can play as a striker , no 10 , wide forward and he doesn’t really rely too much on pace but he would be the best out of the freebies
Get those 2 to replace say Atsu and Muto in the squad and the quality has already went up significantly you could then have a front 4 of:
ASM LWF
Almiron No 10
Fraser RWF
Mertens Striker/ False 9
The 4 of them can easily press teams and would interchange very well

Comment #6Pochettino did well with developing Spurs’ younger players, especially when Levy was acting like a law unto himself in the transfer market.
If the plan is to organically grow NUFC, Poch would appear a great choice.
Pochettino lost to Klopp in the CL final, sure, but Klopp had been there six times before.

Comment #8On Pochettino a lot of people are forgetting a lot of that Spurs team was given to him Kane is a world class goal scorer but when he was out Spurs would always struggle for big portions of the season
He’s bottled every final hes been in as well and all the major games when it really matters Jose owned him in the FA Cup despite Spurs having a superior team!
Also he’s not won anything and would he really want to come to us ? I think he thought Man Utd or Barca were coming in for him so he downed tools a little would we get 100% commitment?

Comment #10I think that there should be two stages to this, much as KK did when he arrived. Bring in top quality older players and then grow by bringing in younger players from wherever.
I remember Andy Cole arriving as a young man to replace David Kelly. Hard to take because he had been a success.

you are not alone in thinking the parasite was going to do well by us. Everyone was fooled. I thought it was a good idea bringing together a sports retailer and the football club. How wrong can you get.
Thankfully, its at an end.

Comment #14Would sign Doucoure from Watford to play with Longstaff or Calvin Phillips – With Rafa back Sean will be back to form.
Grealish and Lukaku to go up top. Decent right back and first 11 would be ok. Grow from there.

Comment #18This can be a huge 10 years in front of us if things are done right. Watching Al Ramayyan in his interviews filled me with lots of confidence in the believe that the club will be ran like a first class set up.
What he does,nt know about business is,nt worth knowing. Both himself and Amanda the (tyre kicker) Staveley are both highly intelligent people and will make this club a massive success. Other sets of fans know it, the jealousy coming to the surface now is hilarious.

Comment #39I want poch because of how he improves players and brings in younger players. The style of pressing and modern day football knowledge
He got spurs to the CL final without Kane beating citeh and the amazing comeback against ajax, a season where he didnt spend a penny as he wasnt backed by levy.
He has always been at a club that has spent within there means and not been backed in the transfer market with the way he would here under new owners.
He didnt down tool at spurs, if that were true they should’ve kicked on when he left, if anything they’ve gone backwards. Spurs seems to be an unhappy camp, mainly down to levy and his policy on not breaking the wage structure which leaves many players unhappy.
Before he joined spurs they were a club that couldn’t break into the top 4, he’s left them as a club that consistently get into the top 4. Competing against those that spend way more than them!!
