Comment #43No promises Tynemouth but if we’d had a more open conversation on RB from the start, all this aggro wudnt have happened. Anyway, as I told the boys earlier, I’ll try. Maybe some of you can direct your preferences for no arguments to the other contributors to these skirmishes too?

Comment #48Agree about the lack of a decent striker but a serious ball winner who can get us further up the pitch would help too. Someone like Soumare would help in more ways than one. Just me tuppence.

I can take a joke (even poked fun at self by calling myself article writer) and basically respond in kind apart from bad language (not my style on social media) if poked I poke back
I am what I am – not of the generation for short snappy texts and tweets.
So happy to shake virtual hands and wish you good night 🙂

I know what you mean about watching the footy again, I didn’t watch the German league over the weekend, however, I did watch the game v sheff wed. On the YouTube channel. Awesome!!
I’d never seen that game before – but I remember the period clearly, I’d just joined the company i work for and they shipped me off to Silicon Valley for two months (I was a young padawan who’d never been to the US before)…..I missed the whole timeline surrounding sir Bobby’s appointment

Comment #66If we lose the first few it’ll be tense and I wouldn’t be able to watch. Shelvey says he’s the fittest he’s ever been. So that’s a plus, from the pod cast he was on the other night he sounded as he knew the takeover was done.

Comment #67NY there was a hold up getting into the ground that day. So by the time we got in we we’re already a goal up, but I didn’t know until Match of the Day. We had scored eight goals I used to sit just left of the gallowgate goal. So watching the other day I was looking to see if I could see myself

Comment #68Carltoon/ny I had been hoping for Friday but this feels like it’s getting closer. Maybe early next week. I had a day off today ( ie yesterday) , and managed to get fishing in the Pm, but still found myself checking the bloody phone. They really are a curse at times!

Comment #72Magscar – I know you’re away but agreed ref. your last post. Of course, we’re not starry eyed lemmings and we don’t sit and applaud a missed sitter or someone having a total shocker. But we don’t have to destroy players – with ‘should never pull the shirt on again’ – all that crap.
Coming home – just a theory. Right or wrong, Benitez liked us to sit and counter. Rondon and Perez’s goals – a lot were from half chances, and for all Joelinton’s struggled – he hasn’t missed that many clear chances. He just looks lost. Not knowing where and when to run. Dropping Werner or whoever in this current team – yes, they’d score more but not in the 20+ range. Not the way we play.
Incoming players will need more to feed off than punts upfield. Build up momentum in numbers. Ping it around in their half. That’s how you dominate games and fire up your forwards by creating real chances. i’m encouraged that Bruce looked to change the system. Longstaff, Hayden, Shelvey – all have their qualities but a player like Diame or Tiote gives you presence – which we lack. Assuming Bentaleb aint the longterm answer, I would go for Grealish or Vidal.

I think you’ve misunderstood the Harrisons
Self penned screes of writing are not banned
It’s the copy and pasting of chunks of script from
pay sites like the Telegraph the Times and The Athletic
that they have to be circumspect about.
