Same old outcome at the end of a hopeful day, expecting the big reveal but sweet fcuk again.
I dont need to read any articles past the headlines, every day is Groundhog Day.
Same old headlines and BS, and dont get me started about Twatter. No wonder the press can fill their click bait boots with the Toon fans.
Will the take over happen, Who really knows.

Im JUST in the positive camp, hav,nt got a clue why fans are so confident, we know sod all, nothing new has surfaced since last week when this deal was supposedly sorted and an announcement was imminent 2 weeks ago.
Have i missed something? Im not on here 24/7 so maybe i should get a life and spend more time on the blog.

This is thrilling. The side and the ground will immediately be spruced up. As soon as fans can attend games again the club will blast off. I can live with the negatives, they pale next to the positives. It’s gonna be great.

WL, no need for the life mate. Just the positives far outweigh the negatives at the minute. We’ve heard no bad news in about a week, and there are a few decent sources now claiming we are very close and announcement is imminent. If it all goes pear shaped then you can be pi55ed off. Until then, stay positive, it’s all going to plan

GC saying it’s the most exacting in depth scrutinisation of any takeover the prem has ever conducted !

So one set of rules for Liverpool, Man Utd, Sheff Utd waived through , and a more stringent set of rules for Newcastle United ?

Jumping through hoops no one else has ever had to jump through .

That’s what has gone on .

    Why Us ? !!!

The rules have not changed so why have we been subject to more scrutinisation than any other club

If Reports are correct on that score then it’s clear there is one rule for us and another for the cartel at the top who I’m told have wrote to the prem in opposition to the takeover .

Manchester evening news reporting Man U and Man city sticking the boot in 3 days back .

FFP rules do the exact opposite of what they are intended for .. It keeps the club’s with less income in their place ..not allowed to stretch themselves in order to better themselves or get near the cartel in the prem .

    It’s tantamount to unfair trading.

There’s been some back stabbing over us upsetting the media favourites .

The “Wee club in the North ” (Alex) will rise again ! .

The same sources that are claiming the deal is imminent are the same ones that said the same thing 2 weeks ago.
My point is that there is still nothing confirmed. Nothing has changed either way from 2 weeks ago and we are still in the dark, bcos lets face it, the only source you can rely on is Daddies.

There are 2 ways you can look at this

Either he is selling or he isnt

For me going along with the sale is the best tactic
Its fun and , if he dont sell, digs the hole he is making for himself that bit deeper

This time theres nothing to be gained by skepticism until the first game we play
If he hasnt sold by then im going to be more than happy doing everything i can to make his life a misery
He has no idea how horrible we can be

    OLG,

Sorry, I have to disagree….you say the rules have never changed. That isn’t true, they’ve evolved over time and no doubt will continue to evolve.

As for FFP, look at the clubs who flout the rules, it ain’t the smaller clubs, it always the big guys who are sailing close to the wind regarding FFP

    Mock Jiblets at your peril.

He’s a great climber who’s said he’s climbed Craglough many times in his, errr, student days.

The lake lends itself to climbing and he’s probably kyaked on the Whinsill Crags too.

So agree..it will be interesting if QSI do takeover Leeds at some point (which is seriously on the cards) if they will get so heavily scrutinized. Will QSI have the human rights card thrown at them in such a way?

If it was anyone else this takeover would have been signed off weeks ago.

I did say Ashley was finished here the day he gave 10 thousand season tickets away , massive mistake ! “Hoist with his own petard “, (WS) .

People not renewing , cept those on a scheme and forced to buy , all waiting as they would not want to shell out best part of a £grand with the thought that unsold tickets would be given away free to fill the ground ..empty stadium .

Major embarrassement for Mike Ashley .

    Fin: The End .

    Taxi for Ashley.

It will be interesting to watch .. I had a soft spot for Leeds ..I used to frequent a few clubs in Leeds in early 70s .. In company with all the great Leeds team back then ..Gordon McQueen , Clarkie, Lorimer, Et cetera, Cinderella / Rockafellas ..two clubs but you could walk through to either one without exiting .

Stringfellow was about .. bunny girls ..sweet !

    Toonces,

Yes, I saw that their hearing is set for early June.
But, remember – their case is with UEFA, not with the EPL

Still, it’ll be interesting to see what happens. (Personally, I hope it gets upheld)

Me too I have several mates that are Leeds fans so often follow them to see how they are getting on.

Would love to see them back in the Premiership as they play direct attacking football, have a half tidy team and a world class manager in Bielsa.

Also I think it would be very interesting seeing Newcastle, Citeh and Leeds in a few years all competing in the transfer season trying to outbid one another for players.
