Newcastle have been linked with prolific Dutch striker Myron Boadu since this past February. The 19-year-old has had a breakout season for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie bagging 20 goals in all competitions while adding 13 assists.
In March, just before the coronavirus brought football to a screeching halt, a report claimed that Alkmaar would allow Boadu to leave if they received an offer of £18m.
A report from Italy claims that the Boadu’s agent, the infamous Mino Raiola, is shopping the striker around for an even lower fee of between £13.5-16.5m.
According to the report, Raiola is trying to tempt AC Milan into launching a bid for the Dutch international, who still has three years left on his contract with Alkmaar.
AC Milan are reportedly close to appointing former RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick to replace Stefano Pioli this summer.
Milan will be looking to bring in a striker or two with Zlatan Ibrahimovic only contracted until June. No decision on the Swede’s future has been made yet.
Milan also sold former Newcastle target Krzysztof Piatek to Hertha Berlin in January. So if Ibrahimovic ends up elsewhere, they’ll only have Rafael Leao on the books from this year’s squad though they do have several strikers out on loan currently.
There’s a lot of upheaval going on in Milan at the moment so it may not be the best landing spot for the up and coming striker.
So if our prospective new ownership group rate Boadu, hopefully, they’ll have a chance to move for him this summer.

Comment #3Hot prospects mixed with experience and raw unproven talent is the way to go.
I would love it if we signed a few youngsters and Hirving Lozano, Josef Martinez and Kenny Lala for starters.

Comment #7Much as I’d like Bale, I think his wage demands are unrealistic, apparently $725,000 per week to go to an MLS team
https://www.republicworld.com/sports-news/football-news/bale-rebuffed-by-mls-side-due-to-725k-a-week-wage-demands-report.html?v=1
I think even I’d resent it if he was on 10 times more than anyone else in the squad!

Comment #28Bit bored of hearing every Tom dick and Harry being linked to the club – highly unlikely Saudis will throw stupid money at players such as Bale … I’d be surprised if Bruce isn’t allowed to finish the season , he’s been lucky , played terrible football mostly but he has the points on the board that should keep us up.

Perhaps you will recall I wrote to 3 MP’s who “Objected” to the takeover of NUFC?
Well I still haven’t had a response from those MP’s however I have today received a response from Alan Campbell’s researcher as follows
Dear Mr J…..
Alan has asked me to contact you to thank you for copying him into your email.
He notes your comments with interest. It looks likely that the move will be approved today, judging by media reports this morning.
Best wishes
