Kevin Vegan, you’d be 100% wrong. Not quite as wrong as Coming Home but wrong nevertheless. It doesn’t need to have Covid-19 marked on a death certificate. There’s a difference of dying with Covid and dying of Covid. I shouldn’t have to point that out. Take Aids, that doesn’t get put on the death certificate. It’s usually the complication caused by Aids that is noted.

If you have 60’000 more deaths than average you don’t need statistics or anything else, just a pair of eyes and the ability to look at a graph. For all of the arguments you’ve tried to make, you’ve never actually explained WHY there are 60’000 more dead than average. You’ve tried to cast doubt on the numbers even though they’re official statistics but you can’t explain it can you?

Just been on ons. First week of may 2020 there were approx. 3500 more deaths than the 5 year national average. So in the previous 5 years I would think some years it would’ve been higher, some years lower than this year, if they’d took it over a 20 year average, may be different again. Stats aren’t everything and can be manipulated …. No doubt covid kills and is dangerous to some people, my issue is only with the response and contradictions I’ve observed through my experiences which I dare say are probably slightly more “real world” than most. (Changed my gravatar especially for tramp couldn’t fit my ADR class 6.1 6.2 on there I’ll let him research for himself what that is). Don’t wanna argue about covid, it is tragic but we can’t be getting sanctimonious telling people how they should and shouldn’t be living their lives as long as they’re using their common sense.

To be absolutely fair to Steve Bruce, he has far outdone what any of us expected. Yes, we’ve been lucky but that has also balanced with having to work with players which were not his choice and some cases of bad luck too. Credit where it’s due, what can’t be denied is that Brucie has done much better than any of us expected yet we are still just lower mid table and NOT out of trouble of the drop. So what does that tell you ?
