There was news last night that Rafa Benitez wants to return to Newcastle United to lead the club forward.
He left Newcastle just under a year ago and decided to go into the wilderness in China and manage Chinese Super League club Dalian.
But it’s now a difficult situation in China with the coronavirus pandemic having started there and the Chinese Super League is still being held up by the dire consequences of the pandemic.
This Chinese season was scheduled to begin on 22 February and end on 31 October.
But it was delayed following the start of the coronavirus pandemic and is now scheduled to start next month – the same time as the English Premier League is set to restart.
Top Athletic reporter George Caulkin thinks Rafa is in a very complicated situation as far as being able to take the Newcastle job, even if it was offered to him.
This is how Caulkin responded to a tweet from NUFC360 today about the rumors he may come back to Newcastle.

If Newcastle have to pay the reported £20M release clause to get him back to Newcastle it looks like the fans are divided on whether Rafa’s worth that, with the talented Mauricio Pochettino available for nothing.

dont give a flying duck what the papers are saying, the only people who know anything are those directly involved, and nobody is talking.
I believe its done and we are just awaiting the announcement, but other than that, people may have been sounded out , but the people who are sounded out are trustworthy and will not go blabbing to a rag, least of all the Sun , telegraph , mirror etc, maybe someone at the times or guardian know something but have the honour not to repeat it until told its ok to do so……personally, i think the story will break from either Caulkin or Winters , then it will be delivered across all the major news streams as exclusive

Coming in on your puppy conversations, bear in mind it is a baby. How often were you woke through the night or early morning by your kids when they were tiny.
As Rotonda advised, get the pup into a routine and expect the 5am wake up calls – apart from seeking attention, it may actually need to go out. Is it house trained?
If your dog’s come from a rescue home (I don’t know), it may be emotionally disturbed and needs security and comfort.
Might I suggest you try to contact a dog trainer for advice.
In any event, it’s got to learn who’s boss and the messaging must be consistent and reinforced.
Best of luck and if you get it right, you and your kids’ll have a friend for life.

Comment #6Munster great advice from Rotonda/Lesh. if and when you get it right mate, you will have a friend for life. And when it comes to his passing in many years time you will remember him with great fondness. Keep at it its worth the sleepness nights believe me.

Comment #7Amerimag lol I dont know what to make of you sometimes if you’re serious or not. But I can promise you I’d bet my testicles on it, that Rafa isnt gonna settle for a DOF job.
Going from manager to Dof is like taking every pay cut imaginable, it would be an out and out demotion for him, hes not at an age where he is going to give up the managerial positions yet.

Comment #8On everyone’s talk of dogs, my wife and I took in a rough coat collie who’d come from a terrible home, her story was horrific. Took me a year of having to walk her after midnight and before about 4 in the morning as they were the only times you wouldn’t be bumping into someone else or have a car pass you every 10 seconds.
It’s taken a long time but she’s now one of the most loving dogs we’ve ever had, although she’s still very sensitive.
