Magpie Talks About His Striking Return To St James Park

Newcastle played an intrasquad 11 vs. 11 today at St James Park, which ended 1-1 with goals from Joelinton and a beautiful long-range blast from Nabil Bentaleb.

The Shields Gazette have published some comments from the Algerian about the return to St James Park as well as what it was like to finally play in a match again.

This is what Nabil has to say:

“A little bit weird, I’m not going to lie, but it feels great playing 11 against 11. It was good. We’ve been working really hard lately. It was good to be back at St James’s. I think everybody is happy. We enjoyed. Hopefully, we’ll be ready.”

Here’s the thunderbolt of a strike from Bentaleb. Though the lads look a little rusty in the play preceding the goal, which we suppose is to be expected.

Newcastle have yet to extend Bentaleb’s loan stay beyond June 30th. They’ve managed to agree to an extension with Inter Milan for Valentino Lazaro and are reportedly close with Tottenham and Danny Rose.

According to the Chronicle, Schalke are keen to extend Nabil’s loan stay on Tyneside as they remain hopeful Newcastle trigger his £8.5m purchase option.

The midfielder still has a lot to show before Newcastle will take up that option. A lot will also depend on whether the takeover saga comes to a positive conclusion.

All Bentaleb can do is work hard and try to prove he has what it takes to become a permanent member of the squad.

I’m looking forward to watching the 1966 World Cup final tomorrow in colour.

Only saw it in black & white at the time on telly.

Saw the film “GOAL” about it at the Essoldo or Coliseum (can’t remember which) in Whitley and that was in colour and very good.

I didnt think it necessary to say who is string us along as its quite obvious
    Its the turd
Looks to me the usual “sale” where he gets a buyer and goes through the motions of selling
Right up to the bit where he actually sells, the point we were at a few weeks ago
Looks to me he is doing his usual moving of the goal posts and changing the deal
He has a very long history of it with his tat shops as ive mentioned previously

As per usual the greed takes over
He will want to screw over this years buyer or not sell
As per usual the buyer isnt interested

    Whats left ?

He will have gotten through all of this with a nice 17 million deposit and the massive hole he dug himself forgotten

No hes not worth anywhere near 30k a week atm apart from 2 games against united hes been poor. He cant even get on the bench ffs.

Were going around in circles and arguing about extraneous issues. If Ashley is gone why does he care what hes paying him, and if the PIF want to say fans opinions then youd imagine they wouldnt be telling Ashley not to pay him what he wants, if they even are telling him anything atm which I’m highly doubtful of.

Just something to think about it’s not worth arguing over. I’m out to make food, ttyl

Woodgate was the nearest I have seen to Bobby Moore quality but maybe my memory is playing tricks.

Matty Longstaff seems a no brainer to me if the media is correct that we have offered him 20k/week contract. If he doesn’t take that then let him leave. 7 games in the prem and looks like something is there hence why they are offering him 20x his current salary.

He hasn’t been able to come in and make himself a first team guaranteed starter so shouldn’t be paid like one. If he does then he can renegotiate the contract

Sorry Toon 22, you’re using the same arguments you used pre Covid19. The situation has changed, more probably than most of us realise, and big wheeler dealers like Ashley, along with the small two/three man high street businesses, are all in big trouble.

Bentalab is a no, he’s looked pretty poor for us and even at 8.5 million is overpriced – shame as I expected much more from him – we really need a good box to box midfielder

Got the Dortmund game on V Hertha…

I see they are pipping in fake croud… I like it more than the echo of an empty stadium.

On a side note…. £120 if Dortmund win the first half!

And I know I have probably jinxed myself, writting that haha

One day, a man came home and was greeted by his wife dressed in stunningly sexy lingerie. “Tie me up,” she purred, “And you can do anything you want.” So he tied her up and went golfing…

Donntata13, ive never heard it, does it sound better than no noise. I hope it sounds better than no crowd, i dont want to listen to players chuffing on, it will sound like a training session, not good.
