Report – Newcastle Make Enquiry For The Next N’Golo Kante

Simon Jones with the Mail is reporting that Newcastle have made an inquiry about Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis.

The 20-year-old budding star broke into Benfica’s first team late last season, where he ended up making 14 appearances. He was in and out of the side during this campaign, only mustering 15 appearances in all competitions.

However, his potential is limitless, which has seen some top clubs linked with him like Manchester City, Manchester United, AC Milan, and Bayer Leverkusen, who are known unearth some young gems.

Florentino (shown above) is a Benfica Academy product and has been at the club since he was 10-years-old. He’s a defensive midfielder who has been compared to Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante.

The youngster has dual Portuguese and Angolan citizenship but was born in Lisbon and is a current Portugal U21 international.

The report in the Mail claims that Milan are trying to negotiate a loan with an option to buy at £35m. However, the Mail’s Craig wrote a report on him last year stating he had a £90m release clause.

Florentino is an outstanding prospect. Newcastle would really have to go all out to bring to Tyneside.

He’s likely only a realistic target under the Saudi-backed consortium who will hopefully be announced as our new owners sometime this week.

Sempre Milan have done analysis on Florentino’s style of play which is worth reading for those interested.

You’re getting carried away. How’s the Canophone coming along? If it’s going to be a big stand up, you’ll need to talk to Tsunki so he can make sure the state’s big enough.

Tsunki, I forgot to ask, will you be IC of logistics – organise the transport, stage, power and the road crew?

I am staying positive mate because the alternative does not bare thinking about. Mix signals again today and not helped by the media trying to piss us fans off with a negative spin on proceedings .
We gotta stay strong buddy and hope the saudis pull it off

    arch,

You mentioned can you bet on the team line up. I suppose you could mate. I haven’t seen bets like that so you’d probably have to ask the bookie.

I would imagine there’d be a cut off time wise though because that could be open to shenanigans by unscrupulous staff. And if a player goes tits up in warm up. You’d have to stipulate whether it’s named line up or starting game line up.

If it’s a sky game they may take either bet.

Sorry didn’t get back to you earlier as I went back to the Carla dibello thread!

@UT ~ I figured all the manager would have retired to Benidorm – if they allowed betting on lineups 😉

Jazzy I kind of feel the same as you. I think the negativity has come about with the length of time we’ve known about it and the rags trying to sell papers when nowt else happening.
Still feel the premier will find it hard to turn down the possible cash injection in current climate
Still got the cans on ice

    @ op
. . .I was talkin’ to David Iyke like, and he reckoned that black people are good at football because aliens altered their genes – something to do with some intergalactic spread betting scam ~
    – but y’na what he’s like I ‘m sure he must make half of this stuff up when he’s sat on the netty with nought better to do.

As a proud Newcastle fan I have to show you what I found in a clothing store in Qatar yesterday. This is so RARE!

Sadly the jersey is so much uglier than our real jersey.
