It looks as though Steve Bruce has reverted to five at the back and will play a 5-4-1 with Miguel Almiron out on the right-wing.
Andy Carroll gets his first start since December. Karl Darlow gets another opportunity in goal in this competition.
This is who Pep Guardiola will send out for the visitors.

It’s all to play for this evening as a place in the semi-finals is up for grabs. The lads will be up against a very strong Manchester City side who will be looking to compensate for a disappointing league campaign with more cup success.
Bruce has made quite a few changes but also altered the formation. It worked against the Citizens in November. Let’s hope for another solid display from the lads this evening.
