Poll – Can Newcastle Get Back To Winning Ways At Bournemouth?

Newcastle have made a decent to good return to the league getting 4 points our of the first two games – at home against the Blades and Aston Villa.

We would have taken that before the season restarted, having been held upon since March 13th.

But there was a little bit of a letdown on Sunday night in the FA Cup quarterfinals, when we didn’t really get going against Manchester City, made two mistakes and lost the game 2-0.

There’s a good chance for us tomorrow night to get all three points against the Cherries.

Cherries manager Eddie Howe – struggling with relegation this season

They are 3rd bottom on 27 points – level with West Ham United on points, but with an inferior goal difference of just 2 – so it’s very close in the relegation zone.

Here’s where Newcastle stand in the league table at the moment – 14th place:

PosTeamGamesGDPoints
10Tottenham32745
11Everton32-744
12Newcastle33-1043
13Crystal Palace33-1242
14Southampton32-1440
15Brighton33-936
16West Ham33-1831

A win will take us up to 42 points and almost certain safety.

    @Northumbrian
If I could predict scores I would be rich by now, but it will be interesting to see how the team responds in their play and Bruce’s tactics ~ got to be easier than Mc in a cup tie.

Tbh if this doesn’t go through I’m not sure there would be enough fans left to shout abuse at the top 6 coming to SJP. 10,000 free tickets had to be given out this season, can you imagine what another season of Ashley and bruce would do to fans when they’ve had this T/O dangled in front of them!!

KV; I don’t want to spoil your baccy hit but have you ever considered the damage caused to the environment by deforestation for the development of tobacco plantations? What about the impact on animals due to the destruction of their natural habitats? Not to mention the billions made by tobacco companies on the backs of slave labour.
    Just a thought.

    Novo,
You’re going to get a response from KV on that subject then about six people will jump on his back to call him an argumentative tosser and to pi$$ off from the blog. This is the most savage form of bullying I’ve ever witnessed on this blog and quite frankly find it footin shameful!

You could make that argument for literally anything mate. Beer, clothes, houses, TVs, literally anything at all. I aim to minimise my consumption in other ways but I don’t feel guilty about smoking a plant and it’s in no way comparable to the meat industry.

Nothing wrong with debating mate. Surely the purpose of the comments is to share our perspectives, and we won’t always agree. It’s perfectly possible to do this in a civil manner, though. It’s the insults and personal attacks that are the problem.

Martoon you are wrong about the Scottish MP setting himself up to be sued.

Parliamentary Privilege not only exists in the “chamber” but also extends to the Parliamentary Committees – so basically they can say anything they want.
