Premier League Could Leave Newcastle In Turmoil – As Bruce Hints At Shortage Of Money This Summer

Just like last summer, when the disaster scenario was that Rafa Benitez would leave Newcastle, we have another one looming this summer.

And that’s the Amanda Staveley takeover, which has been in for approval to the Premier League for over 12 weeks now, could eventually be turned down.

And quite honestly, that would be less of a shock than Rafa leaving last summer.

It would be a massive blow to Newcastle if that happens, and the longer the Premier League sit on the fence, the more chance Newcastle have of being left in turmoil if the takeover is blocked.

The Californian Billionaire Henry Mauriss is supposed to be interested in buying Newcastle.

But as time goes by, there is less and less chance he will be able to buy Newcastle before next season begins, and certainly not before the summer transfer window opens.

So we don’t know what’s going on behind the scene at the Premier League, but they could screw Newcastle up royally if they block the Saudi-backed bid.

I wouldn’t put it past them.

And Steve Bruce (shown above) is hinting that he will be here in the summer, and without new owners, Newcastle could be short of cash for the upcoming transfer window.

This is what Bruce said in the Chronicle today:

“When I heard of clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham particularly, who are looking at loans and frees, it shows what the climate is like there at the minute.

“Like everybody this industry – the Premier League – has been hit, like every other business, so the way forward is to pick our way through it.

“Let’s see what we have got and haven’t and keep moving forward.”

As well as finishing high up in the Premier League in three weeks time, let’s also hope the takeover is approved.

We will then be on our way – big time.

Eddie Howe needs a break and should take a beach holiday but not in Bournemouth as the beaches are covered in doylems.

    No problem
VAR are reviewing the decision and fully expect you to be reinstated as First

VAR is having a mare at Man U
    3 absolutely wrong decisions.

They have taken contention out of the game and replaced it with what they say is law.

Matic’s heel was offside – proven by VAR, goal given
Bailey penna, not clear and obvious (hit his shoulder)
Rashford deemed offside by a toenail

Maybe players should adopt the ancient Japanese foot wrapping habbit and then play with smaller feet, that would get them a few more VAR goals.

Good question that Northumbrian, my gut tells me no, but not a legal expert by any means. My feeling is that if there are legal proceedings ongoing, everything would be “frozen” until legal matters resolved.

The ledge don’t expect any answers from Ed & Neil as they are adopting the same tactics as Ashley “no comment”.
which in my opinion is totally out of order !!!

Us having no money during a transfer window ?
Thats a real surprise isnt it

You can be 100% sure any cash we get from tv deals and the like will go to prop up Jabbas tat shops as per usual
More likely he will take more than normal this years as he is desperate

Were going to go from the promise of being the richest club in the world to just another one of his tat shops, bargain bin rubbish

Who do you think he will pretend to sell us to next time ?

Ref. the email carryon yesterday. (Luckily I didn’t get any).

Somebody said that the emails linked back to one of the blog pages. If that is so what was the purpose of doing it in the first place – would seem extra “visits” to the blog.

Without doubt it is a serious data breach – regardless of this being a football blog or any other blog. An explanation should be given to those “emailed” and to the blog in general to give posters confidence.

Somebody on here, a couple of years back, faked a post, supposedly written by me. I immediately knew who it was but could never prove it in a month of Sundays.

I threatened said poster and it stopped.

Just goes to show what a precarious job it is as a football mana after.
From being the new kid on the block with talk of him getting one of the big jobs to a sad forlorn figure going down with his team , poor Eddie.

Another one for Vardy, great finish, easy win for Leicester in the end. That’s us 2 goals to the good against Palace now, game in hand so a chance to put a decent little gap between us and the teams below us tomorrow.
