With the unexpected and shocking performance at City last Wednesday night, we are hoping for a win in a challenging game at the Vicarage Road Stadium against Watford in the early game tomorrow afternoon.
A win will take us up to 46 points, and that’s the best we will have done (points-wise) since returning to the Premier League under the leadership of Rafa Benitez in May 2017.
Bruce wants to see a reaction from his players tomorrow, and he’s hoping that both Miguel Almiron and skipper Jamaal Lascelles can return from injury for this vital game.
We also assume the in-form Allan Saint-Maximin will play, after being given a well-earned rest on Wednesday night.
This is some of what manager Steve Bruce (shown above) has said in his press conference today, as reported in the Chronicle:
“It was the manner of it.” (defeat at City) “I still think we could do better.”The measure of a good team is how you respond in it.”
“I hope Almiron and the skipper will be OK.” “We will see.”It will help us a little bit.”
“Everyone writes these players off, but they’ve been terrific since I walked through the door.”
“There’s a nucleus who drives standards and will demand it’ll be better.” Let’s make sure we finish off this season with a little of the pride we’ve had all year.”
“Watford will be looking at this as their cup final. They’ll be thinking, ‘We have a chance today’. “
“We’ve got to guard against that.”
Fans are split on what the result will be tomorrow.
What do you think?

If you are talking about UK selling arms to Saudi well that is a political issue, nothing to do with sport, also the apology that the Uk have given to Saudi about the human rights issues is also political.
Our country needs their money, simple really.

Comment #7WL it had nowt to do with selling arms at all but there was something interesting in that but not the part about the selling.
Look mate if you want to know itâs out there if not thatâs fine but I wonât put anything up for you to ridicule, so your choice.

Comment #10Munster Mag:
It has occurred to me that some of the ones pushing the line that “PR” is present on the blog, are doing so in the absence of any proof.
At the same time the same posters regularly state that the takeover can’t be happening, in the absence of any proof.
Its all nonsense on stilts from WUM
If everybody stopped interacting with them they’d simply go away.

Comment #12I can’t understand why a decision from the F.A would be end of season presuming we are waiting for them.
Maybe they F.A have made a positive decision but PiF / Stavely don’t want to announce it yet due to her ongoing court case or other reasons..
Maybe F.A have already rejected them and therefore PiF fee no need to make a decision and of course the club don’t communicate so we’d be left in the dark forever

From previous, not sure what you think I am pushing mate.

There is PR on every site like this. Thereâs far too much traffic here for the club to ignore it. They have a whole team of agents and this sort of thing is precisely their remit. They will spread the clubâs lies wherever and wherever possible.

Comment #21Just a tip for posting on this site – if you place a builders bucket over your head, with eye cut outs for safety of course, and wrap your arms in tin foil, then, wearing marigold gloves fill your bath to 3″ depth with lime pickle, turn the heating up to 25° then go into the garden holding a photo of Malcolm Muggeridge aloft in both hands an sing Milton’s L’Allegro backwards in classical Greek to the time of “Incey Wincey Spider” you should be able to get logged in to the blog in under three hours providing of course your recycle bins have been emptied in the last 2 days and it’s not a Friday or a Gambian Bank Holiday.

Comment #27Munster I hung my boots up a few years ago after my last knee injury and returning to find I wasn’t getting any fitter despite running around like I was chasing a heart attack twice a week. But I did love the old Cruyffey – T and when you did someone twice in succession with it the hilarity was endless. đ

Comment #29So much of Ashleyâs Newcastle has been a PR spin. The club even admitted that they ârepeatedly and intentionally misled the press, public and the fans of Newcastle Unitedâ during the Kevin Keegan tribunal following the Toon legendâs departure from St Jamesâ Park.
Every time thereâs a bit of takeover talk or a transfer target emerges in the press, a lot of fans think itâs just a PR move to ensure that season tickets are bought and attention deflects from the running of the club.

Comment #39âIt beggars belief that in a week redundancies are mooted the board confirm the appointment of another expensive spin doctor, Paul Tyrrell, to add to the two PR companies already paid well for doing little in return.
âKeith Bishop Associates, for example, are on an 18-month contract as part of the clubâs deal with Sports Direct. They invoiced Rangers last year for ÂŁ27,000 and one official was so gobsmacked at the scale of payment for the work associated with it he demanded it not be paid.â
Sounds like Bishopâs PR magic is working like a dream north of the border too.
