NUFC Players Thank The Fans For Their Support During This ‘Strange’ Season

The doors were shut on this long and tumultuous season this past Sunday. While it finished on a sour note, it was far from an uneventful campaign. The fact that we’ll be back in just six weeks for another season in the Premier League means it was, at least in part, a successful season.

This was a season like no other with the pandemic and takeover speculation. In the end, it should not go unnoticed that the team consisted of a fantastic group of lads who got on with their jobs under very trying circumstances.

A few of the boys took to social media over the past few days to thank the fans for their support over the course of this campaign. Hopefully, we’ll see the bulk of them next season with a few new faces added to the mix.

    repost.
If the FA can check back on a foul that got a yellow card, and are presented with footage after the game, and deem it should be a red card, then that situation re a goal should be the same.

I’m still working on a list mate. The club undoubtedly have PR on here though, as they do on all social media.

The ref in situation only knows that the watch didn’t go off for the goal and he thinks it works fine and there is “no goal”. VAR needs to step in there and tell him something’s not right. Everyone watching the game knew it was a goal but somehow VAR officials weren’t/didn’t see it.

One thing that puzzles me re: VAR is that referees at a certain age are forced to retire by the FA because they can’t keep up physically with the game. Instead of retiring these most experienced referees wouldn’t it have made sense to move them to the VAR booth instead of the able bodied refs and these able bodied refs are taken out of the match day rotations? Which also had the knock on effect of bringing in more inexperienced refs to fill the gaps.

Seems clear to me that you move the experienced refs up to the VAR booth when their on field days are past them. This would strengthen the overall depth of match offcials, instead it has become watered down.

Whatever any “journo” says is bollix, an opinion based on speculation , positive or negative……they are like politicians, proven to say what they think we want to hear good or bad, the worse they make it plays into some hands, the more positive they make it plays into others….they know nothing as there is no information coming out , we know this yet we are too mixed up in the emotion of it all……at the end of the day though the prem are making this possible by their inaction and should be held accountable since this is a business that they are hampering , this is a huge fanbase they are messing with (they are supposed to be looking out for us fans) and on top of this , they are annoying a company linked to a British trade partner in SA……Just get it done , yes or no ……simples

Hawkeye didn’t pick it up due to the melee on the goal line so didn’t send the signal. Either the ref, if he’d seen it, or the VAR officials should have intervened but for some reason didn’t. Not sure why they didn’t though.

Ref couldn’t tell, trusts the watch

VAR officials were incompetent, nothing else explains it unless you want to say half hearted implementation of the technology that too many in the ranks of match day & league officials wanted or supported

If i was Bournemouth, i would be taking the prem to court for villa staying in the league due to a goal not given die to faulty prem equipment, they would have stayed up on goal difference if the goal was correctly given…….mainly because i hate villa and like Eddie Howe

Nile Ranger: “I gambled £30,000 in a two-month period and had to borrow £70,000 from Hatem Ben Arfa, Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini to pay my debts. The club found out and instantly banned me from every casino in Newcastle.” #nufc

ashley is doing everything he can to sell the club …

    brucey had a great season…

how can we compete with the likes of wolves or leicester .. they’ve thrown millions into buying a few places in the league, look at the money villa put in and they barely stayed up etc ..
