Urgent – Please Sign This Petition Today

There is a petition that has been launched to get an independent review of the EPL takeover process.

Since it’s so secret you never know exactly what’s going on behind the scenes.

And it seems the Premier League were determined from the start to block the Newcastle takeover – independent of what makes up their owners’ and directors’ test.

They then had the audacity to go for four months while cowardly refusing to make a decision.

They were hoping the problem would just go away.

And they then told the Amanda Staveley led consortium – that they weren’t going to make any decision and that the acquisition could drag on for months and months.

This is hardly ethical and above board, and they should have at least had the guts to come out with a decision – entirely based on their owners’ and directors’ test.

That was their job, after all.

But they didn’t, so there may have been some philandering going on behind the scenes.

Certainly, Amanda Staveley is not happy with the way the league got the consortium to continually jump through hoops.

We think Richard Masters, the CEO of the Premier League (shown above), and new to that position, had a lot to do with not allowing the deal to go through.

It may not be possible to turn this thing around but we are going to try as hard as we can.

We need 100K signatures and currently, the petition has just over 40K signatures at the time of writing.

It’s important to get many signatures quickly, so the Newcastle fans can make a statement, and this could help the Saudis to go back in and try to make a deal with the Premier League.

All is not yet lost.

Here’s the petition to sign

Thank you.

Ed Harrison.

I think it might be best to PM each other with dodgy box recommendations rather than give Ed a problem with digital rights gadgies.

With no takeover the transfer targets change significantly but I still think these would be good business

Hickey from Hearts with season loan back to them

Downes from Ipswich with season loan back to them

Callum Wilson and Brooks from Bournemouth

    Fraser free transfer

Lusamba free transfer (maybe, don’t know much about him)

Will Hughes from Watford, tenacious box to box midfielder I think we need

    Edouard from Celtic

    Willems

Angel Gomes free transfer (left Man U, may have been snapped up already)

    Lazaro another loan

Mix of young talent, prospects and players with premier league experience.

    Side something like this

    Dubravka
    Manquillo, Lascelles, Lejuene, Willems
    Hayden, Shelvey
    Brooks, Almiron, Saint-Maximin
    Wilson

    Subs
Darlow, Kraft, Dummett, S.Longstaff, Hughes, Fraser, Edouard

Offload Yedlin, Saivet, Muto, Atsu and Gayle. Possibly offload Schar or Clark.

Thing is with staveley she will have a version of events from her point of view, her investors will have their own reasons for the non-viability of the deal. Yes, she will recount her difficulties getting the director/owner approval but on the investment side it was always going to boil down to long term viability. This deal will have been winding up well before covid-19 became a serious threat and long before it would become a serious financial blow to the global economy. It’s not just the viability of football, it’s the future of all investments across the board that will concern big hitters like the Saudi PIF. They will be seriously tightening the reins on their portfolio, and potential haemorrhages like NUFC would have been looked at closely as the deal dragged on and the covid crisis outran it. I reckon that if everything had been approved last week the Saudis would still have pulled the plug on their option. They didn’t cite economic reasons as a concern for nothing.

That’s why i doubt a petition will do anything.

Just realised Lazaro, Fernandez and Joelinton didn’t even make the bench. Must mean more quality in the squad lol

    Plus Carroll, Gillespie, Ritchie

Weirdly change.org is banned across the Middle East (you need a vpn on to access it), if there are indeed many Saudi people signing, then it just shows where they’ll be watching the footy next season. (VPN’s are also in effect banned here).

For fullbacks id look at cancelo and spinazzola on loan. Good attacking full backs. We need a 20 plus goal striker not these callum wilsons we have been linked with. Proven strikers we need to spend on i.e. cavani.. Zapata.. Belotti.. Whoever anyone can think who has scored consistently in their league over few seasons

The worst offenders of incompetence, sometimes corruption and any other unpleasant business practices you can think of often seem to hide within cloaks of respectibility in organisations in an attempt to justify their positions.

Remember for example UEFA, phone tapping, selling state secrets, privilidged access to information, non disclosure pay offs etc etc.

And now the Mirror reports allegedly that Chris Ronnie is advising Mike Ashley and Mauriss on football matters relating to NUFC?

Seems inappropriate and perhaps something that Masters and the EPL will surely take action on when the time comes, no doubt scuppering that scenario.

    But then again..
