“With Boris Johnson entering the frame, the Premier League has brought the scrutiny they were hoping to avoid.”

I think HMG have been monitoring this since the beginning.

Don’t sugar coat what was said to me and don’t treat me as an idiot like I don’t know what I am talking about.

I don’t care for this debate one bit I’ve got better things to be doing, I can’t believe it’s went as far as it has, for what?

You can say tripe all you want but that’s in the eye of the beholder and a lot might thing the same on the opposite.

This is about the fight for our club a unity as a fan base not this petty squabbling it’s pathetic.

Man City leading Real Madrid 4-2 on aggregate.

Just shows what friends in the right places can do for you.
Thought City had been banned from The Champions League for financial irregularities.by their owners.

Silly me must have been a rumour.

    From March 2016
    Just read between the lines

Barclays – The financial terms of the sponsorship have not been revealed. It is understood Barclays decided against renewing its title sponsorship after fearing the cost would escalate after the Premier League landed a significantly larger deal for broadcast coverage for next season.

The Barclays banking group has sponsored the league since 2001, when it first used the sponsorship to promote its Barclaycard brand.

Premier League managing director Richard Masters said: “Barclays has been a fantastic title sponsor of the competition and this new partnership is a sign of the value they continue to see in being associated with the Premier League.

“The exciting football we are witnessing this season is providing an excellent platform for the League to take forward its new sponsorship strategy and we are working on a number of other category partnerships which will complement this new agreement with Barclays.”

The current Premier League season has been mooted as one of the most exciting ever as the teams that traditionally dominate the title race have been usurped by Leicester City and Tottenham.

Quite an amazing place this Blog but then again I don’t do Twitter and this catching up of most of today has done nothing to suggest I am missing anything ( yeah and I am sure it’s not missing me!)

Amid the camaraderie of pulling together this week and getting somewhere ( but not yet there) we have the runaway train of some poorly judged jokes and a continuing dispute over who said what and why as we career along nicely as the furnace is stoked with the odd bit of wood on the fire

Look Lads this is not Twitter or Facebook Instagram or whatever the young indulge in ( and good on them) – It’s THE NUFC Blog and we ought to respect each other whether we differ or agree

If you think it’s unique as I do then please give it a rest about you can read worse than this on Twitter etc in justification and appreciate what you and I have for free ( bar the adverts) and contribute to making it what Ed intended and not some laddish NUFC version of Twitter universe

We are all better than that – or should be

From earlier… I’m not anti the petition. A statement from the FA on its workings is reasonable. My gut tells me there is more to it, and for that reason we should hold fire on angry letters and emails.

I agree with Lesh on the guardians reaction. I enjoy their sports coverage usually, and expected a bit more than glib accusations of human rights apologists, simply for us demanding some transparency on a process which leaves at our (usual) heavy disadvantage.

I urge the blog to be more open to all supporter views. The heavies have got into a nasty habit of rounding on dissenters, which if you ask me leaves a bad taste.

Uefa, Fifa and the elite clubs of Europe absolutely hate Man City with a passion. They aren’t welcome in the little club at the top of football at all.

If it was up to Uefa, Fifa and the elite clubs of Europe they would of served their ban.

Cas are totally independent from those organisations and they overturned the ban.

Your Real Madrids, Juventus, Barcelonas, Manchester Uniteds and Liverpools run the show. Man City have no friends in this little club.

All of those clubs have been guilty of financial irregularities over the years by the way. One of them even got caught match fixing at one stage.

I do get it – Jail and I rarely see eye to eye

I think The Tinman put up the actual post – maybe down to intrepretation as to Jail’s meaning but yeah it could read the way you see it

I think it was the effect of catching up on about 12 hours of the Blog as I looked for something positive

Of course the posts are happening in real time and so it doesn’t seem that way to those on Blog then

I said yesterday I am old school and that wasn’t an apology just a fact – so when posters offer a belated apology to carltoon for whatever i just think why not treat the Blog in the first place as a place where your mother sister wife kids grandkids could frequent regardless and not expect them to say it’s OK it’s just lads being lads

It is what we choose to make it as ED and family have enough on their plate

I’m all for fans with different views as long as they are truly held amd not simply posted for effect and provocation

I won’t call those who don’t sign the petition for sincerely held views ( I’m not getting drawn in to who is and who isn’t!) as I started out there myself when petition was first posted so understand their reasoning

However as we all know being a fan isn’t about reason at least not as a driver – it’s about the overwhelming childlike feeling of pure emotion when it’s your club

For me emotion won out – reason came a poor second but no one got hurt including me and have no regrets

I believe that the Saudi,s have pulled the the plug out on our dreams, not the Slug or any one else.
Yet we are still dreaming of being the richest club in the world.
We are NUFC,thats all we are nothing else.
Also rans at the best, with no hope of breaking into the top 6.
Shame because with the right owner we could be as good as any club in the world.
I never understood why AshLie never made a better job of it.
He brought in Rafa and i thought here we go ,but he ballsed that up as he often does.
Thanks for the petition and all who signed it.
