If the takeover happens it happens, I can’t do anything to change it and I’m bored with the whole saga.

Ashley is a dog with a bone but thats no good if there’s no bone.

    Not worth losing sleep over.

More interested in incomings and the team/squad for Sunday.

Hopefully there’s some method to what seems madness from Bruce at times and he makes it 3 out of 3 with a quality performance.

    I’m good pal how’s you?

The boat hasn’t left the harbour yet mate and the Saudis have said since the pull out that they will leave the consortium to it and if and when the league gives written assurances that it will be approved they will return to the table.

It’s ok to think otherwise and I’d say to any fan just get on with your life and hopefully have some good results to enjoy and let whatever happen, happen.

You’d probably expect Bruce to go with Wilson, Carroll and Joel as his central striking options, until Gayle returns.

For sure though the side needs strengthening through the spine as a priority.

Centre back, centre mid, attacking centre mid, striker the positions that you’d look to add quality additions to this squad, as you move out your less wanted first team players such as Atsu, Yedlin, Schar and Lejeune it would appear, Muto and for me Gayle.

Here is a prediction regarding the takeover…

I think PIF, PCP and the Rubens will own the club and I think it will be weeks (5?) away from happening, if not sooner!

There we go, my colours firmly nailed to the mast.

If i am wrong, so be it. Big deal.

    🙂

For all the doomsdayers last night.

Leeds and Southampton both knockdd out of the cup tonight, Crystal Palace last night. All from championship clubs.

A 1-0 win isn’t so bad now is it?

Leeds, having a top notch manager like Bielsa probably wanted out of that carabaoa cup as soon as they possibly could given they’ve got one shot to make a fist of it in the PL before the next set of riches come in.

1 nil win is better than a punch in the goolies from Thanos but lets not start cheering the level of hanging on just because some of the other clubs were worse.

To win 1 nil without getting out of second gear (because you don’t have to) can be applauded but it is still risky in the cup.

To get battered in the second half by a lower club because you can not control the midfield and to then risk one of your key players for the season ahead is reckless.

It worked out, fair play to the win and advancing in the cup but I think our 3rd choice keeper is the reason why….oh to be able to actually take the game to lower teams.

    Fingers crossed for Morecambe

How did you get on in the FPL, score and result wise. I just managed to get five points above average but very disappointing, just lucky to have played ctommo who, I think needsca bit of time to get used to the game 😀

The standard of pens has been really good overall, just comes down to holding your nerve especially when non-penalty takers or stepping up for the second time.

Jail – I only got 65 points and whilst disappointed have learnt so much in one week.

Not having Salah was a big mistake but I was trying to spread the funds and chose PEA over him lol

I also now realise the importance of setting your team up for transfers starting from gameweek 3 – I will not have the required funds to make the right moves.

Saying that, it is brilliant and I will defo set up better next season.

I need to hope this week is a bit lenient ha ha

    ASI,
That’s not a bad score at all, don’t pay attention to all the freak high scores, if you got 65 points every week consistently it would be enough to either win or at least come in the top ten of the leader board. I got a shite score but just above average. Spurs winning
1-0 with Alli assist Kane goal instead of the other way round is around a 15 point swing. I’m learning not to get a bad GW make you think the season is over 😀

After only 14 Covid deaths since June, the government has suddenly announced a new lockdown law for the North East.

Is this because they know the takeover is about to go through and they don’t want 100K people turning up for a street party at St James’?
