Martin Hardy with The Times is reporting that Martin Dubravka has suffered a setback in his recovery from his heel injury. He now could face another 5-6 weeks on the sidelines.
Exclusive: Martin Dubravka, the Newcastle United goalkeeper, has suffered a setback in his recovery from an operation on his heel that may delay his return until December, reports @mhardysport #NUFC https://t.co/rkgDv5qDre

Dubravka suffered his heel injury while training in Slovakia in August. He underwent an operation soon after but his timeframe for a return was dependant on how his recovery went.
Initially, it appeared that all was going well with a return possible later this month. However, the boot used to protect his foot was recently removed and an examination revealed that the heel has not healed as much as expected. The good news is the club doesn’t expect Martin will need another operation at this point.
Hopefully, Karl Darlow can continue his excellent start to the season over the next month and a half while Dubravka continues his recovery. Karl has been outstanding in his four league starts and leads the league in saves, high claims, and punches.

I was told the reaction to Liverpool and Manchester United in today’s meeting was tame compared to what it might have been.
However, there has been no apology and some clubs believe there is now a lack of trust between the ‘big six’ and the rest, which probably underlines why “all 20 clubs” and “open and transparent” were so high up in the Premier League’s statement.
The clubs formerly known as Manchester United and Liverpool FC are NEVER TO BE TRUSTED AGAIN. They are walking alone.
Perry, Werner and the Glazers have in one fell swoop reduced the standing of their historical clubs to the gutter in the style of Ratners jewellery.
Even Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Man City have avoided doing that despite their own problems and status.
Footy soccer USA is where they will have to go to and their fans might not be so keen on that.

Comment #8So cloak and dagger by Liverpool and Manure.
However lets remember its the sleazy owners that have put this proposal forward and not the fans.
I just pray de Marco is all over it like a mofo and using it to push through the takeover.
As well as all the conflict of interests this must prove there is influence from the top 6.

Unfortunately the fans of Liverpool and ManU, however “plastic” they are, will bear the brunt of the dislike and abuse that will be coming their way. That’s unfortunate, because their egotistical, out of touch owners are the ones to really blame.
Think Henry and the Glazers even gave thought to their fans, knowing the backlash this would receive?
