Newcastle Announce The Signing Of Promising Young Defender After A Successful Trial

Newcastle have announced the signing of 19-year-old center-back Bradley Cross. He will initially join Chris Hogg’s U23 side after completing a successful trial.

There were reports at the end of September that the young defender was likely to join the Newcastle ranks. He was without a club after completing a two-year loan spell with Schalke, from South African club Bidvest, this summer.

This could turn out to be an excellent signing for Newcastle. In March, The Mail did a report about Cross attracting the attention of the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal.

This is what Cross had said about joining the Newcastle ranks:

“I’m very excited to be joining Newcastle United. I know it’s one of the biggest clubs in England with its history and it’s always been a dream of mine to play in the UK. It is an amazing achievement for me.

“I’ve spoken to the coach (Chris Hogg) and he’s spoken of the ideas he has for me. I feel like I bring something different to the team and the coach encourages me to play to my strengths, which is something that has been very helpful. There is also a pathway to try and get into the first-team.

“I’m a left-footed center-back that loves playing football. I like when the ball is at my feet and love playing out from the back, looking for those window passes to break the lines.

“I want to help the team out as much as possible and just leave all I have out there on the pitch, giving 100 percent for every game and training session.”

We like what we here from the youngster and hopefully he can improve over the next few years and get a chance to join the first team. But for now, he should fit in nicely with the U23s

Here is some of what Chris Hogg had to say about his new defender:

“We’re looking to bring Brad in to try and add depth to the squad. He’s played at Bidvest in South Africa and spent some time at Schalke most recently and I’ve had some good feedback on him during his time in Germany.

“It’s an option where we looked at to bring in a left-footed defender and add some quality to the group but also to try and enhance the environment on a personal level too.

“He’s a well-rounded character who made a good impression with everyone in terms of how he has behaved and how he conducts himself. We want people here who want to work hard and do things right so, from our point of view, we’re delighted to have him and look forward to developing his game and seeing how far we can take him.”

OLG @21 “I can recall ”The Wife” telling the participants here that Jane was not JIb.”

    How can you be sure.
If one uses a mobile phone, and other uses laptop/pc

Didn’t jib have friends who could hack the blog.Or where they in his mind.
Plus how many other accounts has he had,
and he still posts. He craves the attention.

If you were going to use different names, phone then laptop, then starting in green, and using small letters to make sure you are in right character is a good start.Plus you can write on both and press send together so it looks like you are two posters.
Can you imaging him looking in his mirror,”you looking at me”

However the mask is slipping and the odd Capital letter starts the post.
Most are not bothered about ALL his Alts, but it shows disrespect to Dr.Ed’s blog.
The blog has enough problems without having to deal with children on here 😉
