Joelinton, Krafth, And Lascelles Start For Newcastle Against Manchester United

This is the team Steve Bruce has named for tonight’s Manchester United match. It has just one change from the win over Burnley with Jamaal Lascelles back from injury.

Bruce has rewarded the players who did so well against Burnley two weeks ago and keeps with practically the same team.

Here is who Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will send out for the visitors.

Newcastle are on a run of good results and coming off an excellent performance against Burnley. A win tonight will move us into the top four and above Liverpool on goal difference. Even a draw will temporarily edge us into the top six.

We need to show consistency and another good performance at home is a must. Manchester United are vulnerable defensively and Newcastle can hopefully take advantage of that tonight.

Howay The Lads!

Hendrick struggles to control the ball and the ball bobbles of his shin… sending Joelinton straight though on goal… then Joelinton accidentally scuffs his shot into the bottom corner.

Man Utd will never see it coming.

    Good luck lads.
Three points to keep us in the top six would come in handy.

Lascelles has bullied Rashford in the past, so let’s have more of the same.

    Their line-up is surprising.

Surely ASM has all the qualities necessary to do a lot of damage at the heart of their defence tonight. Should be easily able to runaway from Tominay and Fred with regularity and get Lindelof and Maguire scrambling.

Wilson to play on the shoulder of Maguire and run his channel.

Hendrick is a bit of a surprise – played a hell of a lot of minutes for Ireland in the past 10 days. Will surely be off by the hour mark at the latest. Bit disappointed no to see Fraser in his place. Both him and Miggy off the bench should cause havoc though against tired legs. Just hope we’re well positioned in the match anyway by the time they come on.

Need lots of movement, lots of pressing and to stretch them from the off.

    Going for a 2-1 victory.

Not getting all the Joelinton hate, been consistently one of our best players when playing in his correct position.

What has Manquillo done wrong, much better than Krath. What has Joelinton done, never gets a shot or cross in.We should be exploiting there lack of pace with Almiron or Fraserburgh,Hendrick is not a winger, poor man’s Shelvey maybe. The subs can certainly change the game though.

Hail, from what I saw from the Irish gaes Hendrick looked poor enough. I dont mind him as a player, but a bad game tonight and he has to be dropped.

Want to see more of that fluidity across from the front line from ASM and Joleinton, they did it very well last time out.

Joe I hope is aggressive tonight because he can get the better of Lindelof when they’re in close proximity if he is. Lindelof is a woolly woofter.

Man Utd are there for the taking. I hope Fraser comes on before too long. He was on fire for Scotland over the international break.

If Man Utd pin Newcastle’s wings, this game is pretty much over. They just need to shut down ASM.
There is 3 better wingers on the bench than Hendrick. In my opinion I would have give Murphy a go, if he wanted to rest Fraser and Miggy.

Chancel #47 – that’s not saying much as there have been few stand out performances so far but to put him in ahead of Fraser or Almiron is just wrong.

Every opportunity to give Man U payback from their project blue tonight.
Dont get why Hendricks and Shalvey still are in the team though.

Hoping Shelvey has one of those 1 in 8 games where he plays out of his skin.

Tbh he normally does raise his game against Manure.

Come on lads lets ram that Project Big Picture down their throats.

Keep it tight 1st half and go for it 2nd half?

If its 442 then joe LW and ASM up front/10.

If its 433 then joe left and ASM right.

man u’s best defender is AWB at RB so keep ASM away from him and targeting the other 3.

Target Shaw. He’s got 2 yellows in him or a red if he can’t handle our pacy attack. Just need the ref to be on top of his game and book their first fouls to stop them breaking up play. It’s how they operate.

Genuinely baffling to see how negative some people are on here.

People complaining when Miggy plays saying he plays like a chicken with his head cut off, now are desperate to see him play when Hendricks gives us balance.

And Joelinton, he played really good last week with Wilson, give them a go!!
