Elias Sorensen made his belated debut for Almere City on Thursday at Den Bosch. The match had been delayed due to Covid-19 issues. Elias started in the 1-1 draw but as expected due to his lack of match sharpness, struggled to have much of an impact on the game. He was replaced in the 61st minute but it’s great to see Sorensen get another opportunity on loan. Let’s hope he can find success with Almere City this season.

Jake Turner got another start for Morecambe this afternoon. The Shrimps started the day leading League Two after three straight league wins. However, today’s trip to Crawley Town was one to forget as they were soundly defeated 4-0. After a scoreless first half, right-back George Francomb opened the scoring in the 52nd minute. Young Max Watters, who had come on as a substitute to start the second half, added two in the 67th and 71st minutes. Winger Tyler Frost piled on the misery with a 77th-minute strike. It was a tough afternoon for Jake who managed just one save while his teammates only had one shot on target.
