Local Youngster Bags Two Goals For U21s And Must Be Pushing For Newcastle Debut

Newcastle U21s faced Bolton in a Papa John’s Trophy clash this evening. The Magpies jumped out to a 2-0 lead before surrendering three goals to lose 3-2. However, the story of the night for Newcastle fans is that Elliot Anderson scored both of Newcastle’s goals. The local lad is in blistering form for Chris Hogg’s side this season.

The midfielder, who just turned 18 on November 6th, has been training with the Newcastle first team since late September. He recently signed a new long-term contract just a year after signing his first professional deal.

Tonight, he was withdrawn late in the second half with the score 2-2. Bolton went on to win the match, which is disappointing considering Anderson got us off to a two-goal lead. But Elliot’s performances coupled with him training with the first-team could see him pushing for his Newcastle debut before too long.

Here are Anderson’s two goals courtesy of Bolton Latinoamerica’s Twitter account. The second goal is just sublime from the youngster.

Have to admit I start to worry when we start to say anyone looks like a real prospect, seems to curse them!

In actual fact WW2 isn’t officially recognized as Germany’s heaviest International defeat, on the technicality that they weren’t actually facing a single independent nation state on that occasion.

They were taking on “THE WORLD”!!!!!!

The star for Spain was a ManC 20 year old, far to young to get a game for us though.

Yes, I have the same thoughts Essex. We have to be careful to get a better manager in soon or pay the price again and again.

Feeling a bit narsty towards the Germans as I found out recently my two uncles wereon a merchant ship sunk by a U-boat early in the war. A 680 ton freighter with about a dozen crew and the Germans torpedoed them. So 6-0 isn’t nearly enough I’m afraid. Would love to see us score a dozen on them.

Well my time on the road has been cut short because of new lockdown rules being out in place up here. Shame as the hotels I had booked for the next week are phenomenal. Bottle of double black and a hot tub tonight though, can’t really go wrong.

It’s on a covered balcony area so it’s an absolute dream. I hate to admit it cause my wife has been begging me to fit one at home for years but I could definitely get used to having one of them around!

    John,

Obviously I would never have such room for anything like that in the UK (you must be a very fortunate man).

But when we bought our house in the US, it came with a 1000 sq ft basement that was essentially an open area (not developed at all, bare brick walls)

That was just a huge opportunity for me….we got someone to do the walls and the ceiling and the flooring….and then it was open season.

Pool table, bar, dart board, air hockey table, huge tv screen – I used to kinda laugh when yanks used the term man cave….but they’re right, cannot resist 🙂

    NY Mag,

I’d have done the exact same thing in your position, with each extra kid I kinda just figured anything like that would be on the back burner until they’ve all left home.

We do have a basement although it’s not habitable at the moment, only accessible by a really dodgy hatch under one of the stairs. When we found it and I looked in there was one of those old red metal wagons for kids? I saw that and frankly just wanted to avoid delving in there for fear of what else we might find (my wife named it the Fritzl hole) Thankfully there wasn’t anything else buried in there.

Van the Man’s latest album had a helluva a panning. The consensus was that he was frustrated that he couldn’t tour and vented his spleen via the album.

He’s becoming angrier as time goes on.

Soon, every team and their grandfather will press and go gung-ho against Newcastle. Relegation might still be a risk, when luck runs out.

    For Jail,and other walker’s/runners.

Have you tried Zwift,it’s an app for walking, running, and cycling.
Free for the first two groups but you have to pay for cycling.
Keep an eye out for sweatybollocks or is it BettySwallocks as he’s on.
    https://www.zwift.com/uk/run

Ideal for the older folk as there’s a few dinosaurs on it 🙂
