Miguel Almiron’s agent, Daniel Campos, has become a household name for some Newcastle fans this week. He made some ill-advised comments to Paraguayan radio earlier this week about his client’s future.
Campos was at it again today speaking to Italian outlet Europa Calcio. However, his statements weren’t as blustery as the ones made in Paraguay.
When asked about whether Almiron suited the Premier League, Campos replied with the following:
“Totally, it’s a competitive championship and it’s played at a pace at which Miguel can measure himself for speed and change of pace.”
The agent was then asked about the statement he made in which he asserted that Miguel would have already left Newcastle if not for the Covid-19 pandemic. He was a lot less committed in his answer than earlier in the week:
“Impossible to know. Almiron is happy in Newcastle and when that time comes we will analyze it. Now his reality is Newcastle and the qualification for the World Cup with Paraguay.”
He also clarified that the noise about Atletico Madrid’s interest was just ‘rumors’. Though he did assert that Inter Milan has also shown interest but no ‘progress has been made.’
There’s obviously something going on with Almiron and his current contentment at Newcastle. His agent did him no favors with his disrespectful claims earlier in the week. He was a lot more appropriate when talking to Europa Calcio.
Miguel is likely frustrated with the playing style as well as not playing in his preferred position. He’s been called a ‘coach’s delight’ by Bruce and we expect he’ll remain professional despite his frustrations.

Wasn’t Nobel into dynamite or some other explosives that made him rich?
Strange he invented the peace prize.

My head is telling me we’re in for a spanking, probably the worst this season.
My hearts telling me we’re Chelseas bogey team.
I wouldn’t bet 20p on the outcome.
Its guesswork at best, I could easily see Bruce nicking a lucky 1 0 just as easy I can see Chelsea knocking us for 6.

I mentioned before about my grandad who was Irish. He was like my father growing up as my Mum was single parent. Honestly the greatest man I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.
He always spoken wise words and one of those things was he told me never to hold grudges, let it go as if you keep that inside you grow to be a bitter twisted person. I’ve followed a lot of things he has advised me down the years and now I’m older and you look back, well he was always right.
Top man and I miss him

Comment #21Their break-up was a cumulative process attributed to numerous factors, such as the strain of the Beatlemania phenomenon, the death of manager Brian Epstein in 1967, McCartney’s domineering role, Lennon’s heroin use, his relationship with Yoko Ono, Harrison’s prolific songwriting output, the floundering of Apple Corps ..

Comment #33Mund i do indeed remember you telling me your grandad was Irish and that he was like your father growing up as your mother was a single parent, that must have been quite tough for both your mum and yourself, your mother has done a wonderful job with you as your a great young man, i see you were very close to your grandad also, but that bloody oul Irish blood gets you into so much mischief and trouble ha ha ha ha
