Almiron’s Agent Appears To Walk Back Some Of His Inflammatory Claims

Miguel Almiron’s agent, Daniel Campos, has become a household name for some Newcastle fans this week. He made some ill-advised comments to Paraguayan radio earlier this week about his client’s future.

Campos was at it again today speaking to Italian outlet Europa Calcio. However, his statements weren’t as blustery as the ones made in Paraguay.

When asked about whether Almiron suited the Premier League, Campos replied with the following:

“Totally, it’s a competitive championship and it’s played at a pace at which Miguel can measure himself for speed and change of pace.”

The agent was then asked about the statement he made in which he asserted that Miguel would have already left Newcastle if not for the Covid-19 pandemic. He was a lot less committed in his answer than earlier in the week:

“Impossible to know. Almiron is happy in Newcastle and when that time comes we will analyze it. Now his reality is Newcastle and the qualification for the World Cup with Paraguay.”

He also clarified that the noise about Atletico Madrid’s interest was just ‘rumors’. Though he did assert that Inter Milan has also shown interest but no ‘progress has been made.’

There’s obviously something going on with Almiron and his current contentment at Newcastle. His agent did him no favors with his disrespectful claims earlier in the week. He was a lot more appropriate when talking to Europa Calcio.

Miguel is likely frustrated with the playing style as well as not playing in his preferred position. He’s been called a ‘coach’s delight’ by Bruce and we expect he’ll remain professional despite his frustrations.

If Ashley was convinced in April that he could make a statement that the club was sold bar a minor solvable problem, it says to me that the PL had accepted the Sauds statement regarding control of the PIF fund..
So what happened next? Hoffman or some (or more), of the self appointed “big six” got wind and threw toys out of the pram..
What is required here are the statements, answers to questions, E mails and texts that are most likely explosive items from all those involved in this corrupt farce..

No interest for a long time.

Cant bring myself to cheer people I usually call during the season.

I usually watch ze Germans at the world Cup, they can turn up with the Accrington Stanley team and they’d still get to the semi, totally different mentality to our shower.

Almirons agent on about Italy now.

One story was enough, no need for him to continued, it’ll only cause more problems for the player.

People at the club won’t be happy, his agent should shut up before he talks Almiron out of the match day squads altogether.

At the same time I’d hate to be Dutch, the players they’ve had in their sides.

They’re like the Real Madrid of world football but couldn’t win a toss up.

I’m so bored with this lockdown I’m gonna watch England v Iceland!

On the subject of our game v Chelsea; what have we come to as a club if we, the punters are actually saying Callum Wilson should be saved for a “winnable game”!
FFS we should be playing our strongest team assuming Callum is fit. If he’s not fit that’s different but please, “saving him for a winnable game” ! Do me a favour. It’s no wonder the footin pundits laugh at us!
And now I’m watching our England team who can’t even sing the National anthem with pride; there all footin embarrassed!

    OP

I’m just exactly the same thing it’s regards to the England team as for me now it’s a totally different feeling towards the national team than I had as a young lad and now what makes it worse is the likes of Harry Kane as the front men of the team (pun not included) and I can’t stand him and mainly for snapping Lejeune.

Hate the way our players have always been overlooked going all the way back to Andy Cole.

I guess we just have a lot of people who see the northern lot differently but we will have our day

I was already losing interest before Sven took over, then one friendly I can’t remember which he called up some uncapped players and dropped Scholes Beckham and a few others.

Sponsors kicked off and he had to call them back up.

That was pretty much the end for me.

Can’t see the Government plans for fans being very well thought out, more a PR stunt.
We’re in lock down and in December areas like Manchester, Liverpool and Tyneside will still be at level 3 as there’s no let up in infections and hospital admissions are going up. Somehow London seems to be at a lower level so expect the London clubs to have first dibs at fans coming back.

Mund i made a joke about Jail bringing you and Bills son some rock back from blackpool, i take it you know it was only a bit of banter he he he, Mund when i was younger i was also very very passionate and it got me in so many disputes, but ive mellowed in my later years, it will happen you also as the years go bye, as op said in an earlier post tonight it would be better if we could get a final decision about this takeover either yes or no so we could all move on and put it behind us as everybody is totally bored with takeover talk every day now Mund

    OP
Bruce is clueless but he knows Wilson is his only decent striker. It’s dangerous to pick and choose which games you can win. You have to play a team you think can win and who knows. Look at the points we’ve picked up against stronger teams! Because of Bruce’s lack of tactics we somehow get odd results!

Bruce needs to ditch the 51211, particularly against the senior sides. Might as well give back the width of the pitch in the opponents half to the Freemen to graze cattle for the 90 minutes.

How does 51211 work at all as an attacking formation if the wingbacks aren’t getting on the ball in the opponents half, and how does it work defensively, with two players stuck in a line in the middle of the park ahead of 9 bunched together in a desperate siege mentality behind the ball.

    Width, Steve Bruce, width.

    I agree 100%

The only way I see Wilson not starting is if he turns up on crutches, even then I’d expect Bruce to tell him to walk it off.

Bruces ability to pull results from no where is incredible, he must have Irish blood hes that lucky.
