Four Magpies Get Starts For Their Loan Clubs On Saturday

Freddie Woodman manned the nets for Swansea this afternoon as they took on Dan Barlaser and Rotherham at home. It was another clean sheet for Freddie as Swans defeated Rotherham 1-0 on a 28th-minute strike from Matt Grimes. Woodman has 6 clean sheets in his 10 league starts for Swansea. The win moves them up to fourth in the Championship.

It was another start for Kelland Watts as Plymouth Argyle traveled to take on Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town. It was an afternoon to forget for the Pilgrims as Barton’s boys smashed them 5-1 ending a 6-match unbeaten streak. Kelland wasn’t at fault for any of the goals though a poor headed clearance did ultimately lead to Fleetwood’s second.

Mo Sangare returned to the bench for Accrington Stanley after a long lay-off. The midfielder hasn’t played since the season opener. He was an unused substitute in a 0-0 draw at home to Lincoln City.

Jake Turner started in Morecambe’s 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe today. The Shrimps scored 3 minutes into stoppage time to steal a point on a goal by Aaron Wildig. The midfielder knocked the ball in after Scunthorpe’s keeper made an initial save. The point keeps Morecambe in the top ten in League 2. It was his 14th start in all competitions.

Lewis Cass started in Hartlepool’s 3-1 win at Yeovil Town. The win moves Hartlepool to 7th in the Conference Premier table. Cass has played every minute at right-back since joining on loan.

    magicmac54,
How are you, hope you’re doing ok.
The bloke is infuriating, he has utter disdain for us, you can tell in his interviews what his exact feelings for us are. I know plenty of Man U and know exactly what they think of us. He is no different.

Magic now that’s a front 3 to be feared that, very tasty. Shearer and Ferdinand where brilliant together until Dalglish did what he did 🙁 and it’s a shame as that could of be a strike force for years and would of been feared all over.

Mund I’m not on the hooch. Rafa played pretty dull football. Plenty of people now acknowledge that. I didn’t have you down with the zero criticism brigade. He had positives and suited us but you can see that the points made by Charlie and WL also have logic and some support too.

Jail away mate end of the day he took offence whether it was intended or not and the fact we all know he took offence by it, why do we need to ask such questions? As repeating it just opens up sore wounds.

Jail for Ashley I agree with everything you have said about Bruce, what i find amusing is if all these ex Man Utd players who played with Bruce and are saying what a great manager he is and Newcastle fans should be grateful to have him found out that Bruce was going to be appointed the next Man Utd manager they would have a heart attack, they all know he is a crap manager, its just the old boys club closing ranks and showing extreme loyalty, its so dam patronising. Hows you jail, are you still in Blackpool?

Rafa played the football he believed he had to play to keep us up, and succeeded with two very ordinary squads relatively speaking, and by the end, when he finally had a decent set of first choice forwards, had us playing very effective counter attacking football. Top ten football.

What we are seeing now is a dog’s breakfast by comparison.

A hard watch today. But it was just as hard under Rafa. He was given no funds.
    Its anti football.
    Not worth a carrot.
I have never seen such boring footy and its been going on for years.
Amazed the fans keep turning up to watch rubbish.
More amazed they keep putting dosh into fattys pocket.
Nothing better to do than pay money to be bored stiff? Year after year. And you know its not going to get any better. Its in the blood dont you know?? But the blood is obviously not reaching the brain.
A strike force of Carroll and Joe with two goals between them in two years on 80k a week each. its called fraud!!!!

Mund we can only dream now about players of the quality of Beardsley Ferdinand, and Shearer now mate, lets hope we can find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and those glorious days can return, i know we didn`t win any trophies, but we were everybody`s favourite second team for playing that wonderful fast free flowing football, wonderful times and beautiful memories.
