It was another clean sheet for Freddie as Swans defeated Rotherham 1-0 on a 28th-minute strike from Matt Grimes. Woodman has 6 clean sheets in his 10 league starts for Swansea. It was another start for Kelland Watts as Plymouth Argyle traveled to take on Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town. It was an afternoon to forget for the Pilgrims as Barton’s boys smashed them 5-1 ending a 6-match unbeaten streak. Kelland wasn’t at fault for any of the goals though a poor headed clearance did ultimately lead to Fleetwood’s second.

Comment #242Rafa certainly had us better prepared, but in truth I don’t see us as having much of a stronger group in actual fact.
Wilson or Rondon. Perez or St Max. Hendricks or Ki Sy. Lewis or Dummett or Ritchie.
Fraser for Atsu is better, but is Fraser a top half winger.
Joel, what has his contribution amounted too?
We’ve replaced loans for permanents. That’s basically what we’ve done, and not particularly thoughtfully in terms of balance and quality.
Our central midfield still isn’t crash hot. That’s essentially the most important part of the pitch.
Our centre back options have been weakened by the fitness concerns of Lejeune, and now his loan away.
We’ve had and let go Lazaro, Bentaleb, Rose and Willems. Murphy is back. We still have Gayle and Andy Carroll.
Krafth and Yedlin, how good are they? Not very.
We can certainly play better football, but even Rafa would do well to get us into the top ten. That’s why he left. Ashley won’t deliver.

Comment #243Just watched MOTD this morning and I thought Shearer’s analysis was spot on. We’re far too negative and always looking to pass backwards instead of forwards. This must come from the manager and coaches – if you watch teams below us such as WBA they might defend a lot but at least mount a few meaningful attacks with a few attempts on target.

Comment #244If Rafa came back he’d be back at square 1 trying to offload players like Hendrick.

we can argue till we’re blue in the face but nowt will change till ashley is gone, every problem we have revolves around him, he is the one common denominator ,

Said game in game out we defend to deep and when get the chance to break out we are to slow and don’t get up the pitch quick enough – but mostly we lack movement off the ball – so what happens ball goes sideways across the defence and back to keeper who hoofs it long.
I have seen glimpses of us trying to change and get forward quicker and with numbers but we don’t seem to do it with conviction – as if we are scared to or lack confidence

Dead right. He’s been given a target of a point a game and until he falls way short of that we’re stuck with him.

Comment #253hibbit spot on he is the common denominator and why tempers rise.
I’d like to see this place with a new regime and see who is actually genuine as I know a few will float away to never be seen again.
A takeover will save the club and this fan base
