The Newcastle United Consortium Supporters Limited are continuing to press the Premier League over their actions regarding the Saudi takeover.
They’ve recently started a campaign for Newcastle fans to contact their local MPs to push the league for full transparency over Newcastle’s arbitration case.
Demand this is made public! Below our letter to MP’s & a ‘write to them’ link to write to your MP. Together in numbers we can seek MP’s support to understand where this takeover is at. Fans want answers NOW! ??#NUFC #NUFCTakeover https://t.co/osjMjkKCdH https://t.co/gQmUgTwOqv
— Newcastle Consortium Supporters (@NCSL1892) November 26, 2020
The hope is to apply enough political pressure so that the arbitration case will not be heard in secret. The Premier League must not be allowed to hide and put off Newcastle’s case.
The latest stage of the takeover fight could force the league to air their dirty laundry in public. That is the hope if enough supporters can lobby their MPs.
You can contact your local MP at this link and get a copy of the letter template to send here.
Mark Douglas with The Chronicle did a comprehensive article on this endeavor last week. It can be read here.

Comment #1Joelinton in the no 10 slot did well as he also did at Burnley he takes up natural positions to him the way he ghosts into space
When he plays up front he doesn’t know what to do as its not his game but he now needs that run of games in the same position with Wilson if we are ever to see the player he could be
Needs to work on his shooting though he never seems to hit it cleanly not sure if that’s confidence or what but he always scuffs his shot

Comment #17Just noticed Martin Braithwaite banging the goals in at Barcelona about a year or two after Tony Pulis said he wasn’t good enough for Boro in the championship. He probably wasnt happy playing hoofball so was shipped out with Pulis questioning his attitude. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Almiron or Maximin joining him in two years after they get sick of warming our bench or playing second fiddle to Hendrick (who will not be playing for Barca any time soon).

Comment #18Barely 60 comments on the blog since 10am, Eds Ghost Town has the tumbleweed blowing through it these days 🙂
Looks like all have to cook up another white goods quest to keep the home fires burning this night shift. Actually what about a cooker?
Ahem. So, our cookers gone up in smoke that’s the third one this month any idea what make and model I should get? It needs to be a double oven for those crazy dinner parties and deep enough for those giant Costco pizzas and also have a self cleaning function. There’s so many to choose from the selection is mind boggling. Has to be gas though.

Comment #21Speaking of gas cookers, I popped over to Kendal to see my Mam today – do some shopping for her and say hello.
She was watching the snooker when I arrived and I said – Hi Mam, are you watching the “gas cooker”….
Small world emoji.
Tsunki, go for a Falcon Dominator – a bit industrial, but you’ll never have to buy another.

Comment #23Great little statistic I just read on BBC
Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel (219) and father Peter Schmeichel (310) have a combined 529 Premier League appearances.
That equals the Premier League record for a father-son combination – Ian Wright (213) and Shaun Wright-Phillips (316).

Reality check!
Outdoor dinner party only, socially distanced around a fire pit, each holding a stick with a sausage on the end. The future’s bright.

Comment #32The bid for takeover transparency has won the approval of an MP.
Last week’s drive from the Newcastle Consortium Supporters Limited for the arbitration process between the Premier League and United to be made public – and the whole process to be more transparent – saw an email template for fans to send to their local members of parliament.
And the first backing has emerged on Monday after a fan shared his positive response on social media.
North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson, a Conservative, wrote in a reply to a United fan who had sent the NCSL’s email calling for the arbitration hearing between Newcastle and the Premier League to be held in public.
He wrote: “I regularly meet and engage with the Premier League, the EFL and the sports minister – so I have already been feeding in on these vital issues following an earlier campaign email when the bid was first blocked.
“I absolutely support the need for transparency here, so fans can make an informed judgement.
“I also agree we need to be very mindful of the Big Six in any changes on TV rights / revenue – we do not want to become like the SPL where drama (for which Newcastle have had plenty of over the years) is removed – it would make the game stale.
“I will keep pressing my end.”
