Bruce Reveals Yet Another Magpie Is Struggling With An Injury

Steve Bruce has given his press conference ahead of Newcastle’s all-important match at West Brom on Sunday. He’s given a less than encouraging update on injuries. It appears that Isaac Hayden has been having some trouble with an ankle injury.

Here is some of Bruce’s update on injuries according to the club’s Twitter account:

“We’ve got one or two knocks. We’ll see how Isaac Hayden is, he’s been carrying an ankle injury for a week or two.

“Emil Krafth has got a nasty shin injury so we’ll see how they are today and tomorrow.”

Krafth will reportedly return to training today after being forced off against Wolves with a shin injury. The news on Hayden leaves Newcastle in a very tough situation at right-back if both players are ruled out for Sunday.

Javier Manquillo returned to training this week but whether this weekend is too soon for the Spaniard is unknown. If all three are unavailable for the Hawthorns, Jacob Murphy could be called on to fill in at right-back.

As for Federico Fernadez, who returned to training a few weeks ago, Bruce said he is in with a chance on Sunday. Fede has missed the last nine matches with his hamstring injury. So getting the Argentine back could help shore things up at the back.

Bruce is operating with a very depleted squad both in attack and at the back. His decisions on approach and team selection is going to be very interesting for this crucial match at the Hawthorns.

    Steve Bruce

”We have somebody close to us unfortunately who’s informing a reporter who delights in writing negativity about myself and the club”

    On the leak:

”It borders on treason. It’s wholly disgusting”

Bruce asked if he banned the journalist for getting a story right? “No denying I’ve had row with MR.. if that part is wonderful journalism, that’s fine. The reason why he is banned, I think he’s got something personal on [against] me.”

Can’t afford to lose Hayden as well, if needs must rest him for this game IF Manquillo is fit.

No thrills team but it can still beat West Brom

    Dubravka
    Manquillo, Lascelles, Clark, Lewis
    Hendrick, Shelvey
    Murphy, Anderson, Fraser
    Gayle

    or

    Dubravka
    Manquillo, Lascelles, Clark, Lewis
    Murphy, Hendrick, Shelvey, Fraser
    Gayle, Carroll

Just watch on Sunday as we’re trailing by a goal to West Brom Bruce pulls a PR masterstroke and brings on Matt Ritchie – making a big song and dance of it as he does.

Then later in his press conference he says “we were the better team but the result didn’t go our way. What I’m most proud about is how we came together as a team, you could see that clearly when Matty came on, he was fired up for the challenge but we just couldn’t make it happen.”

So SO SO bored of the nonsense he drivels out every time he’s asked a question. But what really saddens me is that he knew he was about the 5th or 6th person on Ashley’s list of managers to take control and honestly, I don’t think anyone else other than desperate managers would want to work for MA and the way our club is run.

Disgusted does not even cut it.

Also as I said before, the leak regarding team news coming out before the players are told can’t be coming from the players. It can only be coming from people Bruce is telling in advance which leaves only Bruce and his coaches, and Bruce is the one pally with Luke Edwards. Who else could it be? Bruce or the Steves that’s it. If it’s the Steve’s it can’t be hard for Bruce to work out and he should accuse them and stop telling them. If it’s not the Steve’s then it’s Bruce. Either way, whether it’s Bruce or his staff the players have a right to complain.

Hayden has had an ankle injury for a week or two. Still been playing him the last couple of weeks. It’s a real head scratcher why we get so many injuries isn’t it.

Also confirming that somebody is leaking stuff, so to me that tells me a lot of these stories about what happens in training etc are likely true. I’ll believe a whistle blower over Bruce any day of the week. Is he calling Danny Rose a liar for saying when he was here they’d have 2 or 3 days off too then? Sports and science advice, don’t make me laugh. So our sports and science team are the only ones who are recommending 2 or 3 days off a week are they? When other teams will be lucky to have even a day off? Guess our team are the right ones and every other teams are wrong then…

Cmon Brucie… you’ve lost the dressing room, the fans, your mind, your morals, dignity, pack up and let the door hit you on the way out.
Ashley must be loving all this attention, albeit negative.
Newcastle’s like watching a soap opera, only thing that’s missing is a murder, to be continued…

In amongst all this chaos there is one positive, Krapth is injured, got to see the good in every situation.

So let me get this straight, it’s confirmed that there’s somebody leaking information to a journalist. This journalist regularly talks negatively of Bruce, rightfully so as he doesn’t buy the bulls*** Bruce tries to feed the media. If he’s getting leaked information, it’s highly likely that it’s true or has strong elements of truth to it.

So we have a journalist who doesn’t buy the crap Bruce blurts out and has access to someone giving information about what’s going on inside the training ground and squad. So of course, Bruce then claims this journalist has an agenda against him. Classic. A journalist doesn’t write nice things about me and is giving out information i don’t want people to know, don’t listen to him he hates me and is mean 🙁

Can’t believe this intolerable person is manager of my club.

As we’ve often said, Bruce will never walk out on his payoff – he doesn’t care about the job or the club and holds the fans in contempt. It’s hardly a surprise if we’re relegated – we’re a complete farce lurching from one disaster to another.
I picked us to win against WBA but voted with my heart rather than head, however if we lose I think we are most definitely getting relegated – it’s a must win at all costs game for them and us and I’m not sure we have the stomach for the fight (Bruce has a huge stomach but I think it’s built for Greggs rather than any fight)

Bruce lurches from one calamity to another.
Every aspect of these “incidents” can be traced back to him.
What happens if one of the sources is Steve 2 or Steve £ ?

Where does he accept responsibility ?
    Where does he apologise ?
Where does he admit fault ?
    Who is the Journalist ?
    Who leaked the stories ?
    Accuse, accuse , acuse
    Denial, denial, denial

Was it the Tea Lady in the Dressing Room with a Hob Knob ?

Why is he a ” so called manager”

The quotes ( if not already shared )
Steve Bruce says the “so-called” journalist in question has been banned by the club

“The so-called journalist has has had his airtime, but it’s most important we are all on same page and get the number of points we need to stay in the Premier League,” said Bruce.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce says the journalist who leaked the story about the incident with Matt Ritchie has a source “in and around the club”.

“It happens up and down country but it doesn’t get out.

“Unfortunately, he [the journalist] has a source in and around the club who feeds him. It’s disappointing and we are looking into it to try and find the culprit.”

Rumours surrounding the future of Newcastle goalkeeper Karl Darlow have been doing the rounds, but manager Steve Bruce says they are untrue.

“The story about Darlow that I’d go to a newspaper with an exclusive is not true,” said Bruce.

“It’s disgusting and if I went to a newspaper I’d resign.”

Steve Bruce has been involved in a training ground bust-up with Matt Ritchie this week, and the Magpies boss says there is “no denying I’ve had row” with the midfielder.

“But that happens up and down training grounds every other week,” said Bruce.

“Dealing with 25 men, emotions run high, it’s competitive and these things happen, unfortunately.

“With Newcastle it gets blown into all sorts of proportion. It’s over, he’s apologised, and it happens, but it leaks into media which causes a frenzy which we could do without. It’s over and we get over it.”

On glue traps I’ve heard of people putting them under floors and in lofts, sometimes the blighters drag them into holes and then die of starvation, so you have these big maggot bombs festering in crevices you can’t get to. It’s an idea not thought through.

    Tsunki damn :/

Also yeah he never handles things well does he. On Ritchie could have just said they’ve both angry about the teams position and passionate to correct it so things got heated. They both apologised and are moving forward. Leaks, could have just said yeah it looks like there is one, but we need to focus on games right now. Training, could have just said no we train x amount of times a week and ended it there. Even invited journalists to come and attend training for a week so they can see themselves (at distance of course).

But no, he gets angry and super defensive and makes it a bigger deal. His press and question handling is probably the worst i’ve ever seen from a manager.

With each passing day Bruce is just a complete embarrassment to our club, the guy is a serial loser, everything about him is total negativity, he has clearly lost the dressing room, i doubt very mush the players trust him or have any respect for him, he would never get a job at any other premier league club, and we all know only a stupid buffoon like Ashley would even dream of appointing a clown like Bruceless as manager, no wonder we are a laughing stock all over the country.
