Defensive Target To Sign New Deal And Head On Loan To Aston Villa – Report

Newcastle could be in line for more transfer disappointment. Sky Sports is reporting Axel Tuanzebe will sign a one-year extension with Manchester United before heading to Villa Park on a season-long loan.

Earlier today, there were claims Villa boss Dean Smith wanted the 23-year-old on a permanent. However, it appears the defender will return to Villa Park, but only on another season-long loan.

Tuanzebe’s current deal expires next summer but the Red Devils have an option for a further year. His new contract will keep him at Old Trafford until 2023 with the option for another year still intact.

Basically, it appears that Manchester United have kicked the can down the road on the defender for another year. He’ll head to Aston Villa for this season then return to Manchester United to fight for his place next summer.

This is a blow for Bruce who wants to add a young center-back to his aging group. Tuanzebe would be a perfect addition on the right side of a back three with his pace and athleticism.

There’s no fee mentioned in the report but recently it was suggested Manchester United wanted £5m for their Academy product to go out on loan. Whether that was the stumbling block on a move to St. James’ Park or the player preferred Aston Villa is not clear just yet.

He will face a fight for starts at Villa. Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa both started 35 or more times in the league last season. They are one of the league’s better center-back partnerships and will it will be a big ask to unseat either on of them.

No one knows anything about what’s going on apart from those involved !

So I’m not believing anything , unless it’s official from the club or buyer’s !

Munster – if I was an eccentric billionaire spending my day on the blog I’d definitely buy the toon – 200m transfer budget and conte as manager with Keegan as director of football – I’d love it

I think will be and always will be the best way to go. Such sensitive and confidential information, especially after the first time, would be kept well under wraps unless it’s from Ashley, the consortium or the league.

It’s not disclosing the fee yet but he is a great striker unfortunately he suffers too many injuries!

Saying that I’d take anyone as a back up striker at the minute it’s looking bleak if we lose Wilson!

I said a few days ago Villa have done well to bring in Buendia and bed him in before spending the Grealish money.

Since then they’ve added Bailey and Ings.

That front four is looking lethal now!

Villa putting together a decent team, probably not finished yet with that Grealish money. Could add another 1 or 2 decent signings yet.

If they have spent £30 -£40m of the Greilish money on him I think it’s a mistake!
I would of spent it on Tammy as ings will need replacing in a few seasons.

But if the fee is £15-£20m he’s a great stopgap for a few seasons!

Just seen as I type it’s £25m so I’m on the fence if it’s good or not! 🙂 🙂

That was a big transfer and it came out of nowhere. The twitter guesswork boys didn’t guess that one.

Also shows these things can be kept under raps. Maybe the takeover will suddenly happen one day.

You believe I have an agenda against you? Ask yourself, why would I care enough about what you have to say to the point where I would come back onto the blog for the first time in over a year just to wind you up? Doesn’t seem all that likely does it.

    Munster

I agree that every manager should be subject to critical analysis and I would criticise where I think Rafa got it wrong – signing Muto was an absolute disaster for example, but in the main he got most things right. At a club where managers have often been atrocious, recruitment has often been atrocious, football has often been atrocious and hope has been in short supply, I often wondered why you spent so much energy targeting Rafa.

Why do some of us think it’s obsessive? Because Rafa has been gone 2 years and you (among others) are *still* banging on about him. It doesn’t really make much sense.

    You do you though mate.

Reports that Villa are preparing another bid for James Ward-Prowse and are going in for Todd Cantwell.

Though I don’t understand any of the Cantwell hype, Ward-Prowse would be a superb signing and shows that they’ve had a strategy for dealing with the possibility of losing Grealish.

Bailey, Buendia, Ings, Tuanzebe on loan, with more to come. Be interesting to see if they can get those players to gel, if so they’d look a really good top bet for top half.

Munster claims he gives all managers a chance. He basically saw how happy we were to get Rafa and go against the grain and tore I’m to him from the off. This initial stance of being different somehow nurtured in to an obsessive hatred. Also his claims of not bigging up Bruce ‘as he didn’t want him’
“The players like him more, his more affable nature will get the best out of Ashley, players seem to be smiling more now”
He claims only the less intelligent of posters think this. I’d say 90% of regular readers of this blog know and understand he’s full of shite.

Maybe Ashley relinquished control of SD because he will be gone soon too?

Early retirement with a nice 340M in his back pocket.

You aren’t winding me up, you are winding yourself up.

I ‘slagged off Rafa’ ?? Absolute nonsense.

You haven’t got an ounce of credibility with me.

You might not have an agenda against me, but you’ve got an agenda that’s for sure ie….

Say anything that might be seen as not bowing down to Rafa as a God, or anything non critical or positive about NUFC … and you brand that as slagging or being in Bruce or MA’s camp…

    Grow up man.
