Magpie Pictured On Crutches After Latest Injury Setback

It was announced earlier on Monday that Ryan Fraser had been pulled from the Scotland squad ahead of tomorrow’s World Cup qualifier at Austria. Scotland manager Steven Clarke has now confirmed that Fraser picked up a knock in a training saying the following as published in The Shields Gazette:

“Unfortunately, Ryan Fraser picked up a knock in training which, again with the short turnaround, just means there’s no point in taking him. He wouldn’t be ready for the game.”

Clarke’s reference to a ‘knock’ is in stark contrast to a photograph talkSPORT has just put out on Twitter. The below image shows Ryan in a walking boot and on crutches with an injury to his lower right leg.

This does not look good at all for the 27-year-old, who has struggled with fitness and injuries since joining Newcastle as a free agent last summer. Fraser missed the final few months of last season after picking up a groin injury while away with Scotland in March.

Fraser needed surgery for his groin injury and ended up missing the final nine matches of the campaign. From the image above, it looks like he’s facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines.

OP – always low posting figures during international breaks – plus a lot of Toon fans are probably anxious about the start of the season and what lies beyond and have outlined their feelings loads of times but to no avail.

Hoy in one or two knacker posters who would probably canvass for an embroidery section on the blog and there you have it.

One thing for sure after the Man U game the blog will be very busy.

Newcastle have made me lots of money from bets. Just when everyone, including bookies, expect a tonking, we pull off a surprise result.

But, next game, against this season’s champions, doesn’t offer much hope. My fear and (unfortunate) betting prediction? We concede… 5.

The horrible reality is while were making the parasite money he wont ever leave
Meaning unless we go down and stay there well past the parachute payments he just wont flush
We might never actually recover from him long term, its already happened
    Unavoidable

Unless he gets himslef some conviction that leaves him unable to own us

If anything we are worse off than before

The last 3 games and the VAR weve suffereed from so far will continue till we are well gone

Just speaking for myself and only my own opinion, i would take relegation all day long if i meant getting rid of Ashley, i my opinion 2 or 3 seasons in the championship or league one and he will be gone, we are only a cash cow for Ashley as long as we are in the premier league, i honestly think as long as we are in the premier league he will never sell our club, do we really want another 7 or 8 years of Ashley in the premier league fighting against relegation, i know i dont, ill still support Newcastle even if they are in the fourth tier of English football, but its a total endurance test being the whipping boys in the premier league under Ashley. Am now sure its not bad luck and just bad training/facilities.

We need facilities like Leicester as soon as a takeover happens.

The 12 clubs involved in the failed European Super League have been told their plans were the stuff of “fabulists and failures” by Paris St-Germain chairman Nasser al-Khelaifi.

Premier League sides Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham withdrew within 72 hours of founding the Super League alongside six other clubs in April.

AC Milan, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid also withdrew, while Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus have not renounced the breakaway competition.

“I will not spend much time talking about 18 April and the ‘not-so-Super League’ because I do not like to focus on fabulists and failures,” said Al-Khelaifi, as he made his first major speech as the new head of the European Clubs’ Association (ECA) in Geneva.

Khelaifi knew what he was doing all through the ESL saga, spotted a power move and grabbed it with both hands by rejecting the ESL to look like some sort of football fan hero. He will be a future UEFA or FIFA president now and with him entrenched in either association will mean the PIF will never own us.

Good evening mate, the way i look at it is its worth some short term pain for long time gain, in my humble opinion that blood sucking parasite Ashley will never sell Newcastle as long as we`re in the premier league, don`t get me wrong iam not advocating relegation by any means, but if its the only route of getting rid of the leech i would take it all day long. EGB – did not realise you were interested in embroidery. So I’ve done a bit of internet searching on your behalf and found the country’s top embroidery website.

    https://www.needlenthread.com/

You could probably become established on this site and exchange embroidery patters with Lesh who I think will also be interested in this type of activity (albeit an old granny type of pastime).

No need to send your thanks consider it a friendly gesture.

He’s spoken about making us a little better each year, incremental progression, and the club has also spoken about this, so at this critical point, with fans allowed back in, he really needed and would have expected more than Willock to keep the fans off his back. A couple of loans is nothing, in light of the circumstances, so I think he will have been talking to people and seriously thinking of quitting, and could at any time now. The club is almost challenging him to do it, bizarrely, because while they’re still decent people who might want it, you wouldn’t back Charnley et al, to have any of them lined up.

To Ashley, football know nowt, Joel and Gayle is sufficient cover for Wilson. He’ll be thinking they have the players to finish tenth, why shouldn’t they? He’s not listening to people who do know football, when they tell him why, if he even has these conversations.

Joelinton is a player that might have been worth 40 million had he been played in the right position. It’s ridiculous to shell out so much on a 22 year old wide attacking mid, or at best second striker, then make him lead the line for a bottom third EPL side who can’t hold onto the ball. Ashley probably still thinks Joelinton should be playing centre forward, I mean “I played 40 million quid for him, look at the size of him, of course he can do it”.

Hi Nicky, you have to factor in none of the hierarchy running Newcastle know anything about football, as if thats not bad enough they surround themselves with total dinosaurs to compound the whole situation, its actually criminal whats going on at Newcastle, the whole rotten structure is designed for object failure, As Einstein said insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting a different outcome

Slightly bizarre that Gary Caldwell has left his very short term interim post, with still one match to go before a permenant person is put in position.

Was he afraid of losing his 100% win(x2) record?!!

The Mankies are out to stop you entering Old Trafford

Manchester United will introduce Covid-19 spot-checks on matchdays at Old Trafford, starting with Saturday’s game against Newcastle.
It is not yet a mandatory requirement to enter Old Trafford.

However, the club say they expect proof of full vaccination to become mandatory in the Premier League from 1 October.

Fans aged 18 and over are advised to prove that they are double-jabbed or have had a negative lateral flow or PCR test within 48 hours of the game.
