Bruce Makes Three Changes In Our Predicted Team For Manchester United

Here is the team I am predicting Steve Bruce will name for Saturday’s match against Manchester United. It has three changes from the 2-2 draw against Southampton.

Unfortunately, Bruce is forced into a change at the top end of the pitch. The irreplaceable Callum Wilson is sidelined with a thigh strain and will not take part tomorrow. Hopefully, this injury isn’t one that lingers.

In his place comes Joelinton, who has played in all of Newcastle’s four matches this season. However, this would be his first league start. He is the likely choice to partner with Allan Saint-Maximin up top.

Bruce will probably keep with Willock and Almiron as his two number eights. Bruce has confirmed that Almiron will be available despite Paraguay’s ire at him not being released for international duty.

There is a very good chance Isaac Hayden returns after not being risked against Southampton. The midfielder is the best option in the holding role and has had two additional weeks to recover from a slight knee problem.

Likewise, Paul Dummett returns from injury to make his first appearance of the campaign. The 29-year-old was in with a shout against The Saints but was held back. He’s the clear choice to return to the left side of the back three, where he started the final 12 games of last season.

Finally, Freddie Woodman returns in goal despite Karl Darlow’s availability. It would be harsh to drop the 24-year-old after his four starts. He’s been offered little protection from the defense.

While I suspect Darlow will eventually get the nod, I get the feeling Woodman will get another opportunity tomorrow at Old Trafford.

How Will Newcastle Do At Manchester United On Saturday?

    magicmac54,
Ha ha, lot’s of Irish people have said that to me 😀
My prediction for tomorrow will hopefully be the same as my one against the Spurs one I went to two years ago when I predicted Spurs would beat us 5-0 after Norwich hammered us. I honestly think 6-0 tomorrow but you never know.

Jail without reading all of TDS’ comments today, he’s basically saying that Bruce isn’t up to much and Ashley is an owner with no ambition?

Jail……. Cockneys can’t claim to know anything about football when since 1876 they’ve been confused about the Oxford vs Cambridge face.

It would not be unlike you to not read all of someone’s comments before passing judgment at all would it. It also would not be unlike you at all to wholeheartedly agree with the blogs most recent tw@t 😳

Apparently by 2030 half of London will be under water.
Shouldn’t be a problem as half of London’s inhabitants have dinghies.

I predict Bruce will play 2 keepers and a 9 man defence leading to a 5 nil drubbing and a brace for the Portuguese winker. After match Bruceless will remind us how far we have fallen and how it’s an impossible task for us to compete with the likes of villa and West Ham never mind man. utd. but that we’ve got “enough about us” and we’ve got “5 attackers” (fracking joke). That it’s now time to “move onto the next game and keep badgering away but it’s his dream job and he’ll never quit (the job or being the fat mans arse cleaner)”. The joys eh.

A German guy in London decided to engage with a lady of the night and agreed to pay £50 extra as he liked it kinky.
He then proceeded to attach four bedsprings to her knees and elbows and then inserted one of those duck calling devices into her mouth insisting that she blew it for the duration of the session so she sounded like a duck.

After bouncing her around her boudoir for 30mins the session came to an end and she asked him if that was a typical German technique. He told her that it was the Four Sprung Duck Technique.
    I’ll get me coat.

Aye the Irish don’t mind graft do they’re a scrap ….. or nicking scrap lol. Strange how in certain areas they seemed to gravitate to other walks of life other than, construction, ship building barrows etc like being cops in the u.s …. unless they just sort of drifted into it policing themselves when they were piling in over there.

Not a huge fan of playing kids. I think you do have to be a real standout prospect to cut it at EPL level before say 23, which is why I think Matty should have been out on loan the previous two campaigns, but I do like the look of Joe White and Elliot Anderson, and would be happy to see one or both in match day squads seeing as they haven’t gone out on loan. Reports that Joe White might make the bench for Man U, and I’d love it if he did and got a taste of the action on such a big stage and occasion.
