Joelinton, Longstaff, And Manquillo Start At Manchester United

Here is the team Steve Bruce has named for this afternoon’s match at Manchester United. It has four changes from the draw against Southampton.

Bruce has made a few surprising changes in this one. Isaac Hayden returns to the side but it appears he will be on the right side of the back three. Javier Manquillo comes in at wing-back for Jacob Murphy.

Sean Longstaff retains his place in the midfield with Joelinton in for Callum Wilson. It appears that Paul Dummett is still injured, which I had missed. Joe White gets a place on the bench.

This is the team Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has picked for the hosts with Ronaldo in the starting eleven.

Newcastle will need to be at their very best to pick up anything today. The unspoken aim may be to keep the damage to a minimum.

However, the lads could be inspired with the eyes of the footballing world on this match. Let’s hope they can rise to the occasion at Old Trafford and spoil Ronaldo’s return.

Howay The Lads!

I predict half time toon winning 1-0. Second half manu onslaught with final score 2-1 to ManU. A happy Bruce smiles and asks for an autograph fron Ronaldo. Only to be greeted with “who the fk are you fatty… Security!”.

Anything lesser than a 5 goal drubbing is a positive for Bruce. He will big it up like we won.

    My prediction is
    Manu 7 Newcastle 1.

That manu attack. Will rip us to shreds today.

Why is our scouting so c–p now? 8M for Edouard, absolute steal. 10 mins to do what it takes Joel all season.

We must use the pace on the wings to keeping Man U on their toes. Kieron Clark to keep Ronaldo in his back pocket!

    Prediction: ManU 0-5 NUFC!!!!!!!!!!!

Eduoard another player to come down from Scotland who will make the grade easily

Celtic have a good track record of selling players who do well in England in the last decade Van Dijk being the best of them

I suspect Bruce would have loved Eduaord but as usual Ashley’s tightness prevents us from progressing

Ronaldo starts so will be substituted around 65minutes, no doubt to hysterical Man U tourists screaming.

Great opportunity then for Bruce to bring on our SBS to nullify those hysterics and change the game.

So what formation is this going to be?

Is Hayden playing as a 3rd CB? Or are we going for a flat back 4?

Richie at left back in that formation could be in for a torrid game if he isn’t switched on

Ritchie tasked with keeping Greenwood quiet all afternoon is terrifying. Can see Fernandes having acres of space in front of our defence to do what he likes too. Not looking good.

Sad thing though is even when we get thrashed bruce is safe as houses. How many clubs have an owner and manager who both actually despise the club’s own fans. Toxic doesn’t begin to describe it.
