Joelinton, Longstaff, And Manquillo Start At Manchester United

Here is the team Steve Bruce has named for this afternoon’s match at Manchester United. It has four changes from the draw against Southampton.

Bruce has made a few surprising changes in this one. Isaac Hayden returns to the side but it appears he will be on the right side of the back three. Javier Manquillo comes in at wing-back for Jacob Murphy.

Sean Longstaff retains his place in the midfield with Joelinton in for Callum Wilson. It appears that Paul Dummett is still injured, which I had missed. Joe White gets a place on the bench.

This is the team Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has picked for the hosts with Ronaldo in the starting eleven.

Newcastle will need to be at their very best to pick up anything today. The unspoken aim may be to keep the damage to a minimum.

However, the lads could be inspired with the eyes of the footballing world on this match. Let’s hope they can rise to the occasion at Old Trafford and spoil Ronaldo’s return.

Howay The Lads!

Conceeding just before half time again….sorry but I have never been impressed in the past when I’ve seen Woodman…and he still hasn’t impressed me in the slightest

Deflection on way through caught Woodman out there, should have done better though. Still in the game though

Despite conceding a late goal, that was a good first half.

The problem is that we now need to score so will end up leaving gaps at the back

Woodman hasn’t impressed me in any of the games so far, I know he’s been busy but even his distribution has been worse than Dubs or Darls

Not impressed by woodman. But it could be that whats in front of him are shi* too.

We get peppered at goal regardless of who we play. There’s only so much he too can take.

Aye Woodman is a knacker. His fault for the goal. He really does not inspire confidence.

With my system and vpn i can get all premier league at 3pm every Saturday, fair play they were doing very well, i think young Woodman was badly at fault with that goal, i still think its still damage limitation, lets hope the flood gates dont open up in the second half.

Credit where credit is due, As I criticise easily, but I thought Toon were not too bad, it must be quite a blow when you give goals away to Man Utd. Sorry, Woodman but you are not PL standard.
The rest of the team played reasonably well. Sean Longstaff had a good game, my M.O.M.
