Video – Keith Downie Gives Good Update On Newcastle Situation – Amanda Staveley At “Awful” Training Ground To Meet Steve Bruce

There’s a good update on Sky Sports from Keith Downie today direct from the Benton training ground, and he expects Steve Bruce to be relieved of his duties – probably today.

Amanda had called the training ground awful last week and that’s an area that needs vast improvement soon.

And Ms. Staveley will see first-hand just how inadequate it really is as she is there now to meet with the manager and the players.

As widely reported, Graeme Jones could be in charge of the team for Sunday’s home game with Tottenham – the club that was most against the takeover.

You cannot make this stuff up.

Both Steve Bruce and Graeme Jones are shown arriving at the training grounds this morning after a few days off.

Here’s the update from Keith today:

Excellent news. Really want them to show decisiveness by getting rid of him today.

    Kane or Saha
    Or both?

What a difference a day makes.

What do you think of Kamara at Marseille?

Also, do you think Rudi Garcia or Leanardo Jardim would be good choices for manager

Finally would Luis Campos be a good DoF?

the new training ground will built just off Sandy Lane on Gosforth Park,on land Reuben Brothers already own, and Benton will be quickly developed for housing a project the council are all in favor of
feasibility studies have been carried out into moving Leases Terrace a listed building brick by brick on to land opposite the dental hospital on Richardson Road,
if you have the money anything is possibly, and we now have the money it’s just a question have we got the will

I guess who we get rid of will depend to an extent on which system a new manager wants to implement.
If we play 5 at the back it changes things.

I would immediately send Joelinton out on loan as I don’t see what benefit he brings to the team no matter what position he plays, and although new owners have deep pockets I don’t think they would want to totally write off the transfer fee. Maybe a club in Germany would take him on loan.

Hendrick has to go, as well as one of the keepers. I’d be happy enough to see Woodman go for a small fee as I don’t think he will ever be good enough.

If we play 5 at the back then Krafth should be released, but if we play 4 then I think Schar or Fernandez might go to make space for someone new. If we bring in Tarkowski then I think he plays on the right and we only have Clark and Dummett as left sided defenders so we may need to keep them both until the summer, and Clark can go at that point. With Dummett it depends on his injuries.

I know a lot want Gayle to go but for me we only have two goalscorers in the team and Gayle is one of them. If/when Wilson gets injured then we will need Gayle as a back up to whoever we bring in. Gayle thrives on good service, and if we bring in a creative midfielder and right winger then I think he would get a few goals if needed.

For those of you expecting Bruce to have been sacked by now the report above explains how the consortium have been away for the weekend and only back in the ground at lunchtime. You couldn’t really expect them to phone him on their way here and sack him. They had to meet with him face to face and allow a discussion – no matter how much you dislike him he is entitled to a face to face meeting with them. It’s not like a TV soap where people sack people 5 minutes into a new job!

We have to bring in a CF, in which Wilson would be back up and Gayle could leave.

Kamara: he already said no to NUFC. So if he come, will be only for big money… By the way, you can have far better now. Who care about Kamara when Chelsea say they could sell Kanté?

Garcia: For Christ Sake, no! Honnestly… long to explain, but he clearly got a low rating now in France.

Jardim: Well, probably better than Garcia, but such a booring play to watch…

Campos: well, look like an efficient guy, but i’m extremely distrustfull about everything done in Monaco about business. The management there was quite… exotic. With some dark sides…

Anyway, Campos speciality in to bring in some exciting gifted youngsters and to sell them for an indecent amount of money.

So perhaps not the needed profile right now.

Did he say something about Jamie Reuben being there “and his brother”?

I think someone’s confused – and it might be me.
