Newcastle Need A Training Ground Like One Of These Top 5 In The Premier League

The new Newcastle owners will soon be putting forward some plans to the Saudi Arabia PIF for our new training ground.

This could be an update to the current one in Benton, or they could purchase land elsewhere and build one from scratch (very much preferred).

When you look at some of the best training grounds in the Premier League, such as the one at Leicester City and the at Manchester City – they are so great compared to our current training ground at Benton.

Maybe we should build one from scratch at the Benton playing fields or if there is not enough land there maybe some buy a very large plot of land somewhere else and build there: we will need to wait and see.

Not shown in the five best training grounds in the YouTube video is the Brighton training ground – so here are some pictures of that one.

And finally, here is the YouTube video of the five best PL training grounds in England’s top league.

We have lagged way behind other clubs during the 14 arduous years under the former owner, but we now should move quickly to catch up to them – like building a new training ground and completely refurbishing St. James Park as well as the Youth Academy.

And remember, money shelled out for these three things, does not count as money invested as part of the Financial Fair Play rules.

How will Newcastle Do At Crystal Palace On Saturday?

Lacazette must have been caught with Arteta’s wife or something….this is his first start in a while and I,don’t think I’ve seen him have a bad game yet

    Prince

I asked a friend of mine whos a season ticket holder at Emirates about Lacazette

He said that the problem at Arsenal is they have him and PEA. When PEA was younger he could play wide but now neither of them can and they dont work well together as a front 2. PEA slightly edges him on performances. Compared it to when we had Ba and Cisse.

Bruce was just a reflection of the whole listlessness of the club under Ashley, and nobody could possibly like that, and he knowingly took the job as a shield to protect the owner, which of course became a lightning rod the longer the club remained unsold. It’s irritating to be criticized as a fanbase for this, but you can’t expect much more from the National press, which basically gets everything wrong to some degree or another. The local press isn’t defending him or his record, nor some of the more excitable criticism that came his way, which really is just the nature of football, and while not edifying, at the very least understandable, and therein lies the truth here, to my mind. Decent bloke, capable enough upper Championship/lower EPL manager, if backed well and supported, took a job he shouldn’t have, but did keep us ticking over until the sale, if only just, and now just a footnote in our history, thank goodness.

Didn’t Sir John Hall own a place near the airport?

For me that would be ideal, the best training ground in the world and near Darras Hall too?

Am thinking this will be the first project, yes I’d like SJP revitalised but hey, we can manage that.

Let’s face it, who else has a 50,000+ stadium within a 10minute walking distance of a Central Station?

    The Ledge

Great post there Ledge, i love the true Geordie, he doesn`t mince his words or talk bull shit, and tells it like it is, it`s a pity all these so called expert pundits didn`t show a bit of moral fibre and honesty and integrity when talking about Bruce, a lot of the football fraternity are also totally corrupted.

Could I please just post this, and it’s not definite, but while driving past the Red Lion, Shiremoor, there was a black sports car, when I looked as we past going around the roundabout, I thought “that’s Frank Lampard”, now it may have been just someone who looked like him. Has he got a black, sporty looking low slung car???

    Re Bruce press

I think we do have a bit of a problem in that we’ve been in the media for a decade booing our own managers. Now i think it was mostly justified but we have priors with Pardew and Schteeve M.

That’s why its real important that whoever comes in we get behind. I get the sense many would be disappointed with Lampard, Gerrard, Howe but we really have to not be seen by the media getting radgie at the new guy. All of them are still upgrades on Bruce….Unless its Rooney.

I think the time they are taking shows they arent making this decision lightly. There’s much at stake and each candidate has a very different CV.

Fonz, seems to have the panache, flair and seems to be getting the spotlight due to his Spurs link
Favre, the grit to battle it out
Gerrard, has rebuilt a club and played in this league
Lampard, has managed in this league.
Howe, is used to working with poor players and getting them to overperform.

You can argue a case for any of them depending on what stance you take and I’m certain that the immediate concern is survival.

If it is Lampard, his Chelsea stint really wasnt that bad. He had a good first season and has been outclassed by Tuchel but as I’ve said before, being not as good as Tuchel doesnt make you bad. He coached the team no nonsense which could be argued as being safer than someone like Fonz coming in and blowing our lads minds with all of their tactics etc.

Foreign players, especially latin ones spend a hell of a lot more time in the classroom than English players when they are developing. You cant suddenly bombard them with a foreign language.

I’m just playing multiple devils advocate

    LGFUAD

Favre’s teams have just as much attacking prowess as Fonseca’s and he’s rebuilt way more clubs than Gerrard and is the only one with relegation battle experience.

It’s not even close in reality as to who the best candidate is.
