How Will Newcastle Do At Arsenal On Saturday?

Newcastle are in the midst of preparations for the trip to Arsenal on Saturday. We’ve yet to get any indication of Eddie Howe’s status for the match. Though he is just four days removed from his positive Covid test so that is not surprising.

Howe will be funneling the plan to Jason Tindall and the rest of the coaching team from his hotel room. It’ll be intriguing to see how much the plan differs on the road at Arsenal from the 3-3 draw at home to Brentford.

Newcastle are coming off a thrilling display in the final third against the Bees. However, the calamitous defending has once resigned Newcastle to another deflating result. The point has Newcastle now bottom of the table without a win after 12 matches.

Arsenal saw an unbeaten run of 10 straight matches, including the Carabao Cup, come crashing to an end in a 4-0 defeat at Liverpool over the weekend. They’ll be determined to pick up three points to keep in touching distance of the Champions League places.

The cold hard truth is Newcastle need to pick up three points on Saturday. While a draw is a good result, Newcastle would be on just 7 points with a third of the campaign already over.

Howe should have close to a full squad available depending on how bad Fabian Schar’s knock is from Saturday. As of now, only Paul Dummett is unavailable for this weekend.

Similarly, the Gunners also are in very good shape with only Granit Xhaka and Sead Kolasinac out injured at the moment. So both clubs should have close to a full squad available for selection.

The fixtures will ramp up from now until the end of the year. Newcastle need wins desperately. While it will be a difficult task, three points has to be the aim on Saturday.

No Roger Red Hat? Billy Blue Hat? Jonathan and Jennifer Yellow Hat? Or do you think they are a bit to hard for the average blogger? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I try to read the Blog most days, however the occasional read shows certain reveals!

There are many ‘new words’ being included.

The words ‘Snowflake’, ‘Gaslight’ and of course ‘Woke’ (there are many others) are established within the blog jargon.

May I dare ask, “what word(s) did you use before “woke”?

    I won’t hold my breath…

    Magic – evening.

Saw the head honcho at Wansbeck Hospital last week and got the all clear for 3 months – when he wants to see me again. So all good at the present time.

Still got to be careful though – with having chemo it reduces your immune system – so you are very vulnerable to catching anything. But I am well up on operating behaviours to reduce risks. So no ditching the mask for me.

Hope China gets punished for all of this covid stuff.

    Keep a hold.

If it goes faulty we do something else. When 2 Galileo satellites (carrying the most accurate clocks in space) got put in to the wrong orbits…. European Space Agency used the clocks to prove Einstein’s theory that the faster you go more time dilates. And sold it it to the European Commission as a success . Only cost ยฃ350,000,000 and set us back 12 months.

Well they voted in an orange skinned reality tv moron over here as president, so I suppose it shows anyone can become a world leader, no matter how low your IQ actually is.

The one good thing that came of that was it spurred me on to finally get my US citizenship so I could vote last year. I had been putting it off for years and years and decided I needed to vote last time around. Glad I did it now ๐Ÿ™‚

I totally understand where your coming from, how long have you been living in the USA now, and will you at some point in the future return to your roots in the North East? If memory serves me right weren`t you from the same part of the Norrth East as Raj Jail, there seems to be quite a lot of you lads from the North East on the blog who are living in the States now.
