Newcastle have released images from Wednesday’s training session ahead of Saturday’s trip to Arsenal. In a statement released with the images, the club confirm that Fabian Schar is ok after coming off early against Brentford last weekend.
The Swiss defender was spotted in a few of the pictures. From the look of it, only Paul Dummett will be unavailable this weekend as he struggles to recover from his pre-season calf injury.
A trio of youngsters joined the session with Matt Bondswell, Jack Young, and Dylan Stephenson getting another taste of training with the first team. Elliot Anderson, fresh off his Monday hat-trick for the U23s, seems ready to push for a place in the matchday squad.
Eddie Howe is still self-isolating after his positive Covid test from Friday. Jason Tindall, who was on the touchline for the Brentford match, and fellow assistant head coach Graeme Jones are taking the training sessions.
Tindall has been handed press duties for Friday’s 9am press conference according to The Chronicle. The 44-year-old will likely be on the touchline at the Emirates on Saturday with Howe still likely to be self-isolating.

As I said to IrishRob, I have in no way shape or form suggested that Mund is trying to rip anyone off, I doubt for one single moment that he is. However I do have serious reservations that the guy who has told him he has access to Matt Ritchie’s box and has took payment for said box isn’t all who he seems.
