Local Journalist Reports Howe Still Has A Chance To Take Arsenal Match

Multiple journalists have confirmed that Jason Tindall will take Friday’s press conference for Arsenal. The briefing is scheduled for 9 in the morning.

Head coach Eddie Howe remains in self-isolation at his hotel room but has designed each of this week’s sessions according to The Mail’s Craig Hope. Howe has also watched videos of the sessions and relayed updates to his backroom team.

Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones are leading the sessions though it is Tindall who has become the primary figure in Howe’s absence. The 44-year-old was on the touchline against Brentford and filled in for the post-match press duties.

After the match, Tindall revealed that Howe had a significant impact during the game. The Chronicle has published the following from the assistant head coach:

“During the game, there was a direct link between him and Stephen Purches and he had a live feed so we could communicate with him.

“At 3-2 down we had a decision to make and in dialogue with Ed, those subs we made were jointly done.

“But Ed has to take a lot of credit for that, he’s the manager and he makes the final call. Bringing on Ryan Fraser certainly made the difference for us and he played his part in the third goal for Maxi.”

There is still a remote chance Howe could make the trip to Arsenal. If he tests negative on Friday, that would clear him to take the match according to Hope’s report as the symptoms have been traced back to 10 days before his positive test.

Though if he still tests positive, he’ll have to remain in isolation over the weekend but would be back in time for the all-important Norwich match on Tuesday evening.

EGB, without a diminutive musical man, who is going to organise the music in the car?

Tesla are so short of components they are currently shipping their cars out with no USB sockets so you can’t even charge your phone.

I agree Gallagher looks a great player and will only get better. I don’t think at the time tho he was a viable option. In the future tho players like himself will be.

    Ashingtoon62,
A template is basically the most popular picks, eg the template defence is Cancelo, TAA, Reece, James, Livramento anyone with 50% ownership is template, I haven’t got Reece James and it’s hurting my rank. If you want to climb the ranks you need to go differential, if you are wanting to maintain your rank stick to template.Taking out ASM for Wilson at the weekend cost me big time 😕

    RE Elliot Anderson
I hope someone at the club (Shola?? is he still there?) has the sense to secure him a decent loan move in Jan.

Playing in the U23’S at his stage of his career,is simply standing still..

He needs to be promoted to the first team and stay in and around that and be given game time IMO

    The lad is ready.

I noticed these days almost everybody has the same team on FFP, because I guess there’s a proliferation of advice articles.

Trouble with Anderson is who do you drop? Willock, Almiron ASM all play in his position and cost 25m. I’d have him coming off the bench. I think he could end up better than 2/3 i mentioned

No Mund it didn’t take a rocket scientist to know that he wouldn’t carry on scoring goals. However BSIB gave a very good assessment of his game minus the goals, a lot of people didn’t see that or if they did they didn’t voice it on here.

    No chance of that.

I just think that’s a bunch of fans on the drink coming up with something they think is a great song and dance and just celebrating the good times that are to come.

Yeah, fantasy football was more fun a few years ago when there weren’t so many articles written by people crunching the numbers and doing the maths. In 2010/11 I finished in the top 15,000 globally. You actually had to know a bit about football back then and consider fixture lists yourself. I remember the season when you’d just try to pick anyone who was playing against Derby!

Like with all of the players, I’d hope Willock has a clean slate with Howe and the new coaching team need to work out how to best fit him into the team and play to his strengths. He definitely has potential but his goal scoring run last season was an anomaly really, it was never going to continue like that.

Gotta say that it was interesting that Howe didn’t play 4 at the back against Brentford. Either he hasn’t had enough time to work with the players or he just doesn’t think he has the players to do it.

The surprising thing about that video is that the media haven’t got hold of it and gave them more to throw at NUFC and it’s fans. I wonder if the singers thought about that.

lesh – Yeah, it would definitely be very much overboard if the media got hold of that and used it to bash all Toon fans, as they’ve done in the past. Just a few drunken people acting like muppets.

I think the media these days just loves publishing more extreme opinions on topics, because that gets more hits and clicks from people who either love to agree with it or really want to disagree with it. Best advice I can give to people is to stop giving those sites your clicks as that just makes more money for them and they’ll keep doing it!

    Jail,
I think many didn’t want to curse him or appear negative. Overall he’ll be a decent signing. But Bill’s comments Unfortunately turned out (so far) to be true. He barely does anything if he doesn’t score and that’s what my Arsenal friend said.

Against Arsenal we’ve got to bring Hayden back into midfield otherwise we’ll be hammered – probably at the expense of Willock?

I was hoping for investment and competition.
The more this backlash goes on though?

I think a loan for Anderson makes the most sense, it’s a big step up from the reserves to the first team. Unfortunately he should be ready now if he was handled properly last season, when he should have been loaned out. A season in the Championship would see if he’s truly ready to step up for next season, where hopefully we’ll be still be in the league and he can be introduced gradually in much more comfortable conditions.

I think the issue that some of the outside world have with the takeover is that the PL sat on it for 18 months and the only thing we were told is that they needed clarification on who would actually be running the club, so proof that it wasn’t going to be the Saudi state. It just seemed stuck there for whatever reason.

Then suddenly it was passed, despite issues with human rights, piracy, lack of clarity of ownership etc. No official confirmation on what was resolved to allow it to be completed, it just happened suddenly.

My opinion is that there are definitely negatives about the Saudi regime but bringing them greater exposure to the world just means that they’re going to have to sort things out quicker. Excluding them from the Premier League doesn’t make sense, welcome them in and then they’ll have extra scrutiny to continue to change.

They’ve made great progress in recent years btw. Anyone who says otherwise is just stupid or racist.

Anderson getting some PL game time just because he’s done alright at U23s level and scored a hat trick recently? Loads of players have done that and not made it at a high level. Nah, I don’t want to see him rushed in, have a few bad performances, and then see his confidence shot to hell.

Give him time and he’ll play if the coaches like him. Gotta trust Howe.

I think he is more than ready to mix it up with the first team. Opinions are my own tho

We’ve had plenty of good prospects come to nothing as they weren’t handled properly in my opinion. Anderson seems to be the best prospect we have for quite some time and i’d hate to see him not amount to anything in the end. Needs to be monitored and assessed well with a loan to a decent championship side, he can then get a full pre season with us after his loan spell to be assessed again and then if he’s performed well on loan and at pre season, gradually introduce him to the first team minutes.

Could be very damaging to just throw him in given the nervey situation we find ourselves in this season. If we’re safe with games remaining at the end of the season, then sure give him some game time.

A system, organisation, or league is allowed to be influenced by current members is against the law of competition.
No wonder the government has had to intervene as it stinks..
It would have been better all round (in my view), if the CAT case had carried on because I am certain the Premier league and some of not all would have had a good hard boot up the rectum..

If you are good enough age does not matter Anderson’s uncle was a brilliant left winger he was tackled, and crippled and I think he was only 21?
    Gazza was even younger..
