Newcastle Nearing Transfer Breakthrough As Top Target Reportedly On His Way – Report

There are multiple journalists now reporting that Kieran Trippier will become a Magpie in the next few days. The journalist who first reported of Newcastle’s interest in the right-back, Guillem Balage, has taken to Twitter with the following:

Balague is referencing a report in AS that Trippier will head to Newcastle today to complete a move believed to be for around £13m. The 31-year-old was not in training this morning and has reportedly said his goodbyes to his Atletico teammates.

Newcastle should have their first signing tied up over the next few days. The transfer is a massive boost for Eddie Howe and our new owners, who identified the right-back as a top target early on.

Trippier is leaving the defending La Liga champions and Champions League football for a relegation battle on Tyneside. His desire to return to England to be closer to his family as well as his close relationship with Howe were said to be strong factors in his decision.

Without any hiccups, Trippier should be a Magpie as early as tomorrow. That will give him plenty of time to integrate into the squad in time for the massive Watford match on January 15th.

Newcastle are also expected to announce that this weekend’s FA Cup tie against Cambridge United has been sold-out. We should see an absolutely rocking St. James’ Park on Saturday should this transfer finally go through.

Nothing beats this feeling mate. I’m still on cloud 9 and I think I’ll be up there for years to come.

It’s literally sit back, put your feet up, crack a can and enjoy the ride.

Sorry lads n lasses, my mistake , just tried to help here. After reading further ,there are no direct flights from Madrid to Newcastle.
It`s Madrid via Amsterdam, then Toon.

All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to look the other way.

Here’s something else for all the virtue seekers to deny.

I’d give my life to see all the deniers and miss leaders held to account when this is over.

Dark dark days when people can normalise young people dropping like flies.

If I’m banned because others can’t handle the truth I don’t mind one bit.

The last time good citizens rallied round a tyrannical government was 1930s Germany, it may appeal to you but it doesn’t appeal to me.

Keep looking the other way, there’s a good little citizen.

I recommend God of War 4 if you’ve never played it. Lived Skyrim and Witcher 3, very similar games, Witcher 3 edged it for me

Well i had C and it’s still having lingering effects. Short of breath even after doing small tasks and way less than energy than usual. I’d take flu any day. Only input on it and to balance the views.

Ledge, it’s mad isn’t it? New owners, everyone gone from the club who we wanted gone, sports direct signs down, improvements in how the team is playing, looks like a world class defender is coming in, exciting names linked that we could actually potentially get now. What is there to moan about?

FFS lads, Neil asked specifically for ‘that’ topic to be avoided on the blog from now on. It was great reading only football stuff yesterday and now his request is being ignored again.

Is it really that difficult to not discuss it here? Isn’t that what Twitter and all the crap is for?

    Adamn_92 – Cat’s out of the bag now…

Never knowingly had C but could have without knowing it. Mate of mine is still struggling from it after getting it months ago and still can’t smell or taste properly. I know a few people who have taken a while to recover.

So from personal experience, flu was miles worse. But it’s easy to avoid flu as sick and infectious people tend not to be out and about.

Personal experience doesn’t mean much on this topic as people react differently.

Really wish people hadn’t started talking about this again…

I just tested positive for the C on Sunday. Give me the flu any day of the week over this. Of course, had my second shot only two months ago and still ended up with C. I went 20 months without the shot and without catching C, even after my wife had it in November 2020. I get the shots and end up with C two months later. Go figure.

Aye sorry everyone, only commented to balance a view that was made. No more from me on the matter.

There are some rumours that Burnley are lining up a move for Mason Holgate. Potential Tarkowski replacement? Remember Holgate looking very promising a couple years back. Wondering if i’d rather we got him than Tarkowski….

Goofy I’ve been considering it for months, ever since I finished RDR2 about 5 months ago I’ve found nothing to really get me back playing, atm the Witch 3 is good but not engrossing, but tbf I’ve only played about 15% ofbthe game yet. I also bought Fallout 4 and ice great hope for that.

Everyone online is recommending GOW but the vibe I get makes me think I won’t like it. But cheers for the recommendation, I think I probably will go for in within the next 6 months though.

I thought you’d like to know the Doctor who you called disgraced and a liar has had his podcast put on the Congressional record by Congressman Troy Nehls!

It’s on the Congressmans Twitter, feel free to apologise to the good doctor when you have a minute.

Just wondering did you find the evidence to prove he was a disgraced liar?

Could be… i guess they will not have Trippier making a change in any airport, but if they don’t have an availlable private jet, they could send an Helicopter picking him in London.

OP – you need to stop this! If you want to get into a Covid debate, go elsewhere! You linking this sad story about a footballer dying to the elephant in the room is disingenuous and most likely totally untrue. Unless a doctor links them, your view means absolutely nothing on the topic. And what if a doctor said that he had actually died due to contracting it and it damaged his heart? There are multiple stories out there of it damaging peoples’ organs.

You need to keep this kind of stuff OFF THE BLOG. If I see it again, I’ll send an email to the Harrisons asking for you to be banned for doing this every damn day.

    Transfer News
    @TransferChecker
Kieran Trippier is not moving for £12million, as some journalists are reporting.

The transfer fee is just shy of £25million. The initial payment is maybe £12million, which would explain their confusion, but the total fee is not. Hope that clears up the conflicting stories. #NUFC
