Howe Makes Four Changes In Our Predicted Team For Watford

This is the team I am predicting Eddie Howe will name for Saturday’s match against Watford. It has four changes from the 1-0 defeat against Cambridge in the FA Cup.

New boy Chris Wood comes straight into the team to lead the line. He is accompanied by Allan Saint-Maximin and Ryan Fraser, who keep their places, in a front three. Jacob Murphy makes way for Wood despite playing well last weekend.

Joelinton continues in his new midfield role. He is again accompanied by Jonjo Shelvey. Joe Willock returns to the starting eleven after an underwhelming cameo against Cambridge. Sean Longstaff misses out after an ineffective performance last Saturday.

Kieran Trippier gets his second start after making his debut. Hopefully, he can get deliveries into the box that Wood can get on the end of. He was excellent down the right on Saturday.

Jamaal Lascelles returns to the starting eleven. The captain missed out in the FA Cup. Fabian Schar retains his place though Howe has limited options at center-back. The duo are probably his favored pairing until any new signings come in.

Paul Dummett makes his season debut at left-back. He made the bench last weekend. The 30-year-old won’t provide what Matt Ritchie does going forward but is a massive upgrade defensively. Dummy will hope to impress with Jamal Lewis getting close to returning.

I have Martin Dubravka in goal. Though I am not convinced he is available. The only goalkeeper featured in the recent training images is Mark Gillespie. If Martin is fit, he’ll get the start with Karl Darlow apparently still out.

    Carltoon, Bettys

What in earth are you talking about suggesting I’m against free speech? I, like others reacted to racist comments some months ago – is that what you’re referring to?

Or perhaps you’re associating me with TDS’s thoughts on posting links? As far as I’m concerned, folk are free to post what they like and that includes links. They’re mostly pap but nevertheless of interest.

For clarity of understanding, what I have wondered, is how anyone has nowt better to do with his time than seek out and post links virtually all day, every day. But that’s up to him to do as he sees fit.

As it is bettysbollocks prerogative to do whatever and spout whatever tripe he wishes. Bettys, I’m sure you’ll continue to raise your glass to whatever suits you.

And Carltoon, as it’s not like you to jump to conclusions, I can only assume you’ve taken Bettysbollocks’ mischief as gospel – he’s clearly had a few drinks!

If Dummett isn’t quite fit, you could go 3-5-2 (or 1-1)
    Krafth Lascelles Schar
    Trippier Fraser
    Shelvey
    Longstaff Joelinton
    Maxi
    Wood

Like that team. I don’t think Dummet will come straight in so soon after a long lay off. He needs a few sub appearances to ease him back otherwise he could get injured again. But that team you’ve posted looks decent.

    Decent team that Neil.

Don’t want Ritchie anywhere near the starting 11. He’s too reckless. Attracts cards like a magnet. And has been mostly naff.

Having said that I’m really looking forward to this game.
